Serving seasonal British classics and indulgent afternoon teas, The Tower Brasserie at the Harte & Garter Hotel overlooks Windsor Castle in the historic town centre. Boasting an extensive wine list and a range of cocktails, the Harte & Garter is a refined and classically British dining experience.
Packed with fresh, local produce, the menu at The Tower Brasserie Windsor blends British favourites with Mediterranean influences. Rich mains include medallions of pheasant in lard with peanut butter powder and juniper jus, moules mariniere with white saffron chilli and coriander sauce, and the mouth-watering pork belly on a parsnip purée with black pudding soil and a cider reduction.
Afternoon tea at the Harte and Garter Hotel & Spa is no less tempting, offering a quintessentially English selection of finger sandwiches, scones, cakes and pastries. Champagne tea offers a further indulgent flourish.
An impressive building on the High Street, Harte and Garter in Berkshire is a short stroll from both Windsor Castle and Windsor and Eton Central Rail Station.

We had a lovely Sunday lunch, there was a wide choice and a comprehensive wine list. The food was of a very good standard and the staff all very professional. Would definitely go again.

At the Harte and Garter I would say the High Tea is great value for money. For 3 of us we got a large selection of sandwiches, two scones each (one plain, one fruit), and 4 different little pastries each! As well us unlimited tea/coffee. This was all for a meer £19.50 each! The resteraunt is very classy and a nice environment however staff appeared quite 'shy' and spoke very quietly so they weren't easy to understand at times. However I still enjoyed the time spent there.

Overall the experience was so-so. It is tilting towards expensive with the food or the service provided. The scones were nice, but sandwiches not trimmed properly, petit four was quite rough and there wasn't enough tea leaves in the pot either. There was a mousse provided but there were no spoons until we asked. It was also difficult to get eye contact with staff too.
Went to the bathroom afterwards and the toilet seat doesn't even fit the toilet bowl and it was pretty dirty too.
Won't be going back

There was no evidence of understanding what customer service is expected. There were seven of us. On arrival we stood by the 'Wait to be seated sign' when a waitress arrived we gave them our name and was simply pointed towards our table. I asked which one they said the one over there. We should have been seen to our table seated and explained what was going to happen. When the tea arrived the waiter stood at the end of the table and passed it to myself and my wife to pass along the table, surely it should be individually served. The food arrived and was put on the table. This is the last time we had any contact with the serving staff until we asked for the bill. The problem was we wanted more tea and could not get the attention of any staff member. After trying for 20 minutes we stopped a server and paid the bill at the bar area. They seemed very surprised when we refused to pay the service charge. My daughter in law did explain that we had received no service to speak of. So in short the tea and food was good and the service was non existent..

Staff are very attentive. The afternoon tea was lovely especially the scones. The views of Windsor Castle out of the Windows really made it special.

We had a lovely high tea, treating our friend who is fighting breast cancer to a rare outing. We had a 9 month old baby with us, and the staff were wonderfully accomodating. The cakes were amazing, and the fruit scone was delicious. I highly recommend it for afternoon tea.

Food was lovely and had a great selection however, no one came over to see if we were ok. More drinks were offered when our food was bought out but we had to get up from the table to find a member of staff to get more drinks and I also had to go to the bar to pay the bill at the end.
