A stone’s throw from the seafront, Harry Ramsden’s Eastbeach occupies a prime position in this favourite coastal town. At this much-loved fish and chip restaurant, guests can dine at al fresco tables and enjoy views out onto the promenade and fairground rides.

Famed for its classic fish and chips and a closely guarded secret recipe, Harry Ramsden’s restaurants are a true favourite amongst the nation. Found in various UK locations, Harry Ramsden’s is a British institution, having served delicious fish dishes and British classics since 1928, when Harry Ramsden set up his first takeaway store.

Fresh and carefully sourced, the cod, plaice and haddock are deliciously battered and served with homemade chunky chips, and soused with salt and vinegar. Beautifully fresh fish isn’t all Harry Ramsden’s is famous for: the menu boasts great British dishes such as the mouth-watering premium pie and mash, or the chicken and scampi special. Harry Ramsden’s chip shop also has a fun and tasty kids' menu for the little ones, and signature dishes for senior diners.

Harry Ramsden’s restaurant Bournemouth is a 6-minute drive from Bournemouth Rail Station.

Great service and lovely views over the sea and pier

Sat looking out to sea,Christmas lights on the pier. Christmas music played live on the piano and that’s before the food arrived. No fuss made about our daughters order (she has a very special diet) . The fish cakes were wonderful even our son was tempted to try them. The only thing We would do next time is ask if you do smaller portions as I dislike leaving food.

Excellent food & good portion sizes, our waiter was lively

We have visited before. This time we both felt the chips were a big let down..Not crisp and separated, more soft and greasy. For a premium fish & chip shop, they were a huge let down, especially with the double cooked glowing review published. My local independent F&C shop offers better. I doubt we will return to Harry Ramsden.

We love eating at Harry Ramsden's. The weather this time was awful and the restaurant was so welcoming and warm. The service was excellent. We had the Seniors fish and chips with bread and butter pudding and custard.

We are regulars and visit every time we attend a show. Food always good. However when I came to pay the waitress took my credit card out of my hand put it into the hand held terminal and asked for my PIN No. This is totally out of order! We all know one never discloses such information. I trust this will be dealt with. You only get 3 stars overall because of this......usually 5.
