Fish was great, side salad was a let down "white cabbage and a couple of cherry tomatoes" I know most people wouldn't go there for a salad but as I'm quite healthy wanted salad rather than chips

With the infamous Blackpool Tower just a 7-minute walk away, Harry Ramsden’s – Blackpool occupies a prime position close to the seafront. In a welcoming restaurant, Harry Ramsden’s serves the nation’s favourite – fish and chips.

Famed for its classic fish and chips and a closely guarded secret recipe, Harry Ramsden’s restaurants are a true favourite amongst the nation. Now in 35 UK locations, Harry Ramsden’s is a British institution, having served delicious fish dishes and British classics since 1928 when Harry Ramsden set up his first takeaway store.

Fresh and carefully sourced, the cod, plaice and haddock are deliciously battered and served with homemade chunky chips, and soused with salt and vinegar. Beautifully fresh fish isn’t all Harry Ramsden’s is famous for; the menu boasts great British dishes such as the mouth-watering premium pie and mash or the chicken and scampi special. Harry Ramsden’s also has a fun and tasty kids menu for the little ones and signature dishes for senior diners.

Close to Hounds Hill Shopping Centre, Harry Ramsdens – Blackpool is also just a 1-minute wander from Victoria Street Rail Station.

Restaurant didn't have our booking but sorted us a table within 10 minutes. There was an hour wait at the door so glad they accepted we had booked.
Food was lovely, after reading reviews I was worrying about it but it was lovely, food came out quick as well considering it was full. :-)

on arrival, there was a large queue at the door. Having booked we were uncertain as to whether to queue or wade through the drves of people... After a few minutes and a sandblasting by the weather my partner decided to break through. Once someone had attended to her she waved for me to come through. If evil eyes could kill, I would have been long gone, before my first step had hit the pavement. Perhaps have a seperate entrance for those who book, compared to those who walk in!
I was expecting something a little less commercial with a more traditional feel, however the friendly staff made up for this.

I took on the Food challenge - and beat it.... yay me. Despite my gf's complaints that I had left a 'few' chips behind. The food was nice!
When I asked for the waitresses, Magdelena's, recommendation for a choice of haddock or fish she gave a thorough explanation and her preference - haddock! It was lush. Thankyou!

After asking for the bill I was presented with the famous, 'I beat Harrys challenge' Tshirt. A nice size XL for my xxxxl frame. I am sure it will come in handy when I shift the lbs. Still. I won though!

    I give it good 8/10!

We dined late afternoon and were a little nervous after reading some of the poor reviews, however, we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was fairly busy but found the service very quick and efficient. The food was nice and you get very large portions. The price was a little expensive but would dine there again.

Boast's "the best Fish and chips in the World" Fish average, chips poor lots of very small more like bits potatoe than chips, waitress forgot tartar sause her reponse was "i keep forgetting that" Over expensive i doubt its the best fish and chips within 20 metres of the shop yet alone in the world. would never dine their again.

We dined at Tea-time. A particular member of staff was very cold towards me when I told her part of my order was wrong. The food wasn't particularly hot. Not enough for the price. seperate portions of gravy/peas are very expensive for the amount you got. Will NOT be going again!!!!
