Good traditional tea. Service a bit slow

A wonderful experience and really appreciated the gluten free afternoon tea option.

Although we enjoyed our overall experience, we would have preferred more savoury items and fewer cakes. All the food was good, but a bit too much on the sweet side. It would be nice if there was an option for more savoury, scones, jam and cream and fewer of the smaller cakes. Would have rated 5 stars if moe savoury items available or as another option.

I visited the restaurant on 17th of December. I arrived little bit earlier and my table was waiting for me already. The food I ordered was really good. Rice was cooked perfectly and mango chutney tasted really nice.

We met some friends who live in Kings Lynn and decided on afternoon tea rather than Sunday lunch in Cambridge. I had the savoury afternoon tea and the other 3 people had the standard afternoon tea. We were all really disappointed with the presentation of the tea. The finger sandwiches had a minute amount of filling and the sausage roll, chicken and scotch egg and cheese scones that I had were extremely dry and stale. On the website it states that there is a choice of cakes but we were not asked to choose what we wanted from their display. Will not be returning to Harriets. Our friends wanted to book SIX for afternoon tea but we talked them out of it so my husband and I felt that we did not want to complain in front of them and so paid the bill and left. Not a good experience except for the company.

Afternoon tea was lovely

Beautiful place, nice food. Our eggs were a bit overcooked (poach eggs, not runny at all) but this is my second time there and first time they were fine. I presume they were overwhelmed with number of people.

That was really nice. I went with my guest from LA, she liked it very much.

We love to take our visitors to Harriets. It made such an impression on our friend from Austin that she sent us a voucher as a gift. It has so much English charm, the staff are welcoming and it somehow manages to blend a touch of class with a relaxed, pleasant atmosphere. There is plenty of choice and they make a lovely pot of tea.

Our son graduated from Cambridge at the weekend and one our best alongside pleasures about collecting and dropping him off was Harriets. And last Friday they were the best...we kept changing our booking and Katya coped wonderfully with this.... Granny loved it and part of our chatter over tea included the pleasures our mothers and grandmothers spoke of of the old Lyons Corner Houses which Harriet's imitated so well... Thank you so much and can you expand Harriets please ...we can advise you of locations where we would frequent and tell more of our friends about....
