Went for afternoon tea here. Bit of a mix up at the beginning as I had booked this online and while they had a table ready for us, we assumed that the tea would be ready straightaway but it was not and there was a bit of a wait for even the tea to arrive. The restaurant is nice though and it was cool, as it was a very hot day when we visited. The food was delicious when it did arrive. Overall, the waiting staff were fairly attentive, although we did have to ask twice for a refill and then there was a delay in It arriving. Overall, a pleasant experience but a bit too much waiting for food and drink.

Lovely ambiance as we walked in, had not been before so not clued up on all ‘tea terms’.
Felt rushed into making decision, and were not given entire choices.
My husband was given choice of bread I was not I was brought white the same as him which I do not like and did not eat!!

Very disappointing. We specifically asked for a quiet table & were next to pianist! Changed us to right by the front door. Food was poor, cucumber far too thick. Only white bread! Far too expensive for what you got!

The environment, service and food were excellent
    My only gripe is this:
I had booked afternoon tea for my daughter's birthday treat. I was in my wheelchair, pushed by my daughter. Despite me saying "I've booked the table..." and offering my debit card to pay at the till, one particular member of staff kept talking (over my head) to my daughter instead of to me. I think the staff need some training in addressing disabled people. My brain is fine, its my legs that don't work!

Attentive staff. Great afternoon tea ... very pleased they do a small version for those with smaller appetites.

Very nice tea room, very varied menu, we needed to substitute some items in the breakfast meal but this wasn’t a problem. Great service friendly staff
