Lovely setting. Enjoyed a savoury afternoon tea. One afternoon tea was plenty for two of us

The food was good, however, the service was appalling and the order was wrong. We had afternoon tea and nothing was explained to us and the sandwiches were missing ingredients. When our tea arrived it was put on the table with no explanation as to which tea was which (there were four of us). The waitresses were exceptionally young and clearly inexperienced in the service industry. However, when we complained the management were very apologetic and reduced the cost of our bill.

It doesn't look like picture any more we was sat by quite dirty window overlooking rusty furniture and rubbish left outside.. we had to wait at least 15 minutes before anyone came to serve us we had pre-booked the celebration tea for my sister's 60th nothing was any different .. food came was all very lovely .. my personal preference would of been triangular sandwiches not finger shaped where there all different sizes it was all cramped on a three tier stand..

We arrived half hour early, as our day hadn't gone to plan, and they were happy to see us and seat us early. The staff were friendly, and the uniforms were great! We loved the décor of the place. We swapped some of the sandwiches and there was no problem doing this at all. The food was fresh and tasty, the cakes were amazing!. The only thing is we weren't offered a tea free refill, which we had forgotten was included, which was a shame. Overall, a fantastic afternoon tea, and we would highly recommend, and we will be back :-D

Went for afternoon tea here. Bit of a mix up at the beginning as I had booked this online and while they had a table ready for us, we assumed that the tea would be ready straightaway but it was not and there was a bit of a wait for even the tea to arrive. The restaurant is nice though and it was cool, as it was a very hot day when we visited. The food was delicious when it did arrive. Overall, the waiting staff were fairly attentive, although we did have to ask twice for a refill and then there was a delay in It arriving. Overall, a pleasant experience but a bit too much waiting for food and drink.

Lovely ambiance as we walked in, had not been before so not clued up on all ‘tea terms’.
Felt rushed into making decision, and were not given entire choices.
My husband was given choice of bread I was not I was brought white the same as him which I do not like and did not eat!!

Classic English tea rooms with good menu options. Fab selection of teas. Delicious scones, with or without fruit!
