Very dull meal with little choice. It was nicely cooked and presented. I would have had more choice and value at a Beefeater.

Went for Afternoon Tea, I've been here before and was always impressed with value for money but not now. Shop bought cakes and burnt scones and the price had gone up. Service was so slow I had to go and find someone to order more Tea . I won't be returning for Afternoon Tea!

Restaurant was quiet and we felt isolated. Menu was totally odd in comparison to the grand appearance of the hotel. Food wasn't great, service was rude and sporadix

There were 3 of us wanting to have afternoon tea at this hotel. We booked and had hoped to have a choice as advertised, either the afternoon tea that comes with ice cream, candy floss etc or the one with pimms but, on arrival, the staff didn't even seem to realise we had booked, we were not offered any options with regards to afternoon tea and were, frankly, treated poorly by the staff. It felt like we were in the way. After being seated we had to wait half hour or more for the actual afternoon tea to be served. Even on the hotel's website they offer a couple of options with regards to the afternoon tea but, when there, you don't get these options so I would recommend looking elsewhere for afternoon tea, don't bother with the Hallmark Hotel Bournemouth.

Friendly staff. At reception they helped us find the last place in their car park. The waiters were welcoming and friendly. they were under pressure on a busy night so the service was slow. Starters and sweets on the set menu were excellent.. We chose rump of lamb for the main course. They were willing to cook it furhter to be 'well done' but it was a little tough. We would have liked more veg. Overall it was a lovely evening in bueatiful suffoundings - tables well spaced.
