Awarded a Michelin star just a year after opening, Hakkasan Mayfair is the second London outpost of this celebrated fleet of restaurants. The glamorous dining room combines Chinese history, tradition and architecture.
Contemporary cuisine from chef Tong Chee Hwee is found on the Hakkasan menu. The food was fantastic but unfortunately the service was not. We had to call waiters running past to get any service. We waited over courses to get our cocktails and when paying our substantial bill we were not even asked if everything was ok. I won’t be returning.

Underwhelming....although the place looks great, the menu seemed to have about 4 different options [a lunch Dim-Sum menu, a set menu with a cocktail, one for £120 each & an a la carte menu], but the waitress didn't explain it to us, so we were left a bit in the dark. As we chose the one with the Cocktail she seemed surprised when we wanted wine instead of a cocktail [one of us wasn't drinking so didn't want a cocktail !]. I was going to buy a bottle, but she thought we only wanted a glass instead of the cocktail, so we went with it.Have you ever heard of Chilean Sea Bass ? We hadn't so asked the waitress " is it from Chile..."yes" was the reply...when it came it had lot's of red chillies in it, although not hot and inedible, but clearly that was why it was Chilean. Dim Sum starters were great but main dish "Chilean Sea Bass" ok, but rice quite solid. Puddings looked good [very Michelin], but not masses of flavour with the Carrot Cake.

Absolutely love this place. Great ambience, lovely food and excellent service. Sommilier was so charming and knowledgeable and had me try a bottle of the Dom Perignon P2, it was stunning! It will be my new Sunday luch spot!

Went for the £38 set menu with cocktail. The food was delicious and the service was good. Overall the atmosphere was a bit pretentious and the hosts on the door weren’t particularly welcoming. It’s good for a one-off experience but not sure I’d rush back.

We thoroughly enjoyed this dining experience as it was 100% first class from the moment we entered the restaurant to our departure from the same.
I highly recommend the spicy prawns and the Chilean sea bass in black bean sauce. Oops ooops I almost forgot... simply cannot forget the uniquely flavored Singapore noodles with chunky pieces of squid that was omg amazingly delicious.
The service of Francesco, our waiter was beyond impressive.His attentiveness made our dining experience at Hakkasan Mayfair all the more delightful.
