Great food, too expensive, patchy service, Dr. No feeling. Forget dinner go for dim sum at lunch or Taste of Hakkasan.

The decor was decadent and opulent and our corner booth was piled high with cushions - we started the eve with three smoky negronis at the bar which were delicious and well worth the £18. We selected the bamboo menu for three which was a wide variety of delicious dishes to share - roasted chicken, three kind of dumplings, soft shell crab being our top favorites. We went over our 2 hour dinner slot and the waitress just whisked us over a table so we could enjoy our deserts. It was 10 years since I had last been and it was still as magical

The dumplings were nice, but that's about it. The service was a bit overbearing even though they were friendly (e.g. "would you like to start with s glass of champagne?"...nope, chill out). The portions for the main were TINY, even the rice, think 3 tablespoons of rice how stingy is this. The dessert was alright, more style than substance (and beware you don't choose it, but you're not even told what it is). It's just not worth it.

We had the taste of Hakkasan menu, £38 for three courses and a cocktail was an absolute bargain. The only down side is the wine list is eye watering lay expensive.

One of the best meals I have had in London. Great for couples or special occasions.

I’ve been before with one of your deals and was great, great decor, atmosphere and ambience. Not so great this time, felt we were treated differently. Waiter was cold and uninterested. We were rushed in and out within an hour or so. Ordered drinks first but didn’t get them until main course served. Disappointing overall

First class Chinese cuisine. Very good service. Cocktails good, but most rather sweet for aperitifs. One wine badly out of condition but replaced quickly with a better wine at same price. Lighting too subdued for us but no doubt OK for the younger set. Music thumping loud, intrusive & irrelevant (why do it? no-one’s listening & it interferes with conversation). Scruffy side street entrance but refined interior. Our table not too good, next to main service area. But the quality of the food compensated.
