When we arrived at the Casino they hadn’t received our booking. Fortunately our booking was for 7pm and the restaurant wasn’t busy so they said they would honour our booking. We waited a long time for our food to arrive. They didn’t seem to have enough staff. We have been many times to eat at the Casino and have always been happy in the past. We weren’t too keen on their new menu.

The restaurant is very nice, overlooking gaming floor so it’s great for people watching. Unfortunately the menu has changed again so it’s no longer restaurant standard but expensive pub food. Eg, burgers and chicken buckets. Menu has also been “deconstructed” so that for some items like veg, coleslaw and others making it expensive items at additional cost. Previously you could also get a glass or pitcher of water free but we were charged £3.20 for a 750 cl bottle. We used to use the restaurant as a treat for a nice 3 course meal but that is no longer an option. We did speak to management about our observations and we were advised that this was a national menu that had to be adopted. For what is on offer we can go to any local pub and get the same food but cheaper. The restaurant is nice and service was good so as long as you are prepared for expensive pub food then still a good place to go.

Good ambiance, table overlooking gaming floor for people watching. Food was very good, fish and chips were lovely with crispy batter on fish. Tex mex burger with pulled pork was delicious and a good hint of heat with jalapeños. Great offer on Proseco as well to round off lovely meal.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and feels very luxurious as soon you enter. The staff were very attentive, polite and helpful, including the receptionist downstairs on the front desk. Wednesday at 5:30pm was quiet but we liked that and had a nice table overlooking the casino. My friend and I both ordered the same - we shared 3 small plates for starters, 2 prawn n avocado and a pork with dip. Could have been satisfied with just the prawns but the pork n dip was tasty. We both ordered from the 2-course special menu which was great value for money - the rump steak cost £2 extra. Both steaks were served with skin-on chips, mushrooms and grilled tomato and the chips were especially nice. We both ordered steak medium to well done and my steak was a flat piece - quite tender and perfectly cooked. My friend's steak was a thicker chunk of meat and not as tender as mine and I could see that as she cut into it that it was pink inside. I knew she wouldn't eat it pink so I swapped my steak for hers - I didn't mind the pink meat but the steak was a bit more chewy than the other piece. The desserts were delicious - I had ice cream and my friend had cheesecake. The air-conditioning was definitely working and It felt a little bit chilly but we were there at a very quiet time in cool weather so would take a cardigan next time just to be on the safe side. I would most definitely go to the restaurant again and also try going for lunch or even breakfast. My friend had been to the restaurant several times before.

My wife and I have been occasionally dining at the Grosvenor Casino, for the past 3 years, always on a Saturday. We enjoyed these meals from a very varied menu, the atmosphere, and the friendly staff. However, on 17/02/2018 we arrived and discovered the restaurant menu had been changed. The printed menu now consists of a single double-sided card, listing a greatly reduced choice of meals more akin to a "cheap and cheerful" Blackpool promenade type café. I ordered fish and chips, as there was nothing else that took my fancy, my wife ordered a chicken dish. After a wait of 45 minutes, the meals arrived. The batter on the fish was rock hard, and the chicken was so unpleasant my wife only had 2 bites. Around us, other diners were complaining, particularly concerning steaks that were presented almost uncooked. I male sent the replacement steak back, only to be presented with a second steak just as bad. A female on another table encountered the same problems with her meal. During the time we were in the restaurant Sandra, the f & b manager, was her usual efficient and friendly self, placating diners. I suspect there was a problem in the kitchen, as this night was totally unlike any other time we have eaten there. Prior to this evening, we have praised the restaurant, including on the Bookatable site. By downsizing the menu so drastically, I suspect the "bean-counters" have been reducing costs. The servers were visibly upset by the responses of the customers, but, to their credit, maintained a composed, professional manner. Unless a review, and change, of the menu is forthcoming, I doubt I will dine further at the Grosvenor Casino Blackpool. At this point in time, I feel unable to recommend it to a friend. I ask that these comments are submitted to the Grosvenor, Blackpool.
