What a great afternoon tea with such cheerful friendly staff. Beautiful homemade sandwiches especially the egg, followed by tiny pastries. Then a mound of freshly baked scones, cream and jam ( come hungry!) . A gelato shot to finish absolutely perfect!
We were a party of 8 for a birthday and were made to feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble and the food quality as good if not better than a luxury hotel afternoon tea.

i took my mother for an early Mother's Day afternoon tea and we were very impressed.
Gilly and her staff were most welcoming upon arrival and as it was our first time visiting Gilly gave us a tour of the beautiful house - exposing the outside sun trap area (you would have no idea that it's there unless you'd been in) and the room where they make the Gelato. We were placed upstairs in the beautiful Georgian function room for our pre-booked afternoon tea (you can pop in for a coffee and cake/gelato/lunch without booking).
The afternoon tea cosisted of three courses (four if you include the prosecco). A good selection of sandwiches and delicious cakes followed by the highlight which were Gilly's scones with clotted cream and jam (her mothers recipe). To finish we were treated to gelato which Gilly ensured suited each of our taste buds (my Dad had tagged along too) - this was a unique touch that you certainly do not get everywhere!
We sat in the gorgeous function room for a good hour and a half relaxing and soaking up the ambiance before paying ( very reasonable price).
Thank you Gilly - we shall be back.

Had a lovely time and the food was superb. Plenty of fresh sandwiches and homemade scones and dainty cakes. Thought that was enough, then the finale was their speciality of double chocolate gelato served in delicate glasses. The way the staff served this afternoon tea and how it was presented made a very enjoyable experience at Green & Jenks.
Will look forward to visiting on a Gin & Gelato evening.

Lovely welcome and great service. Delicious tea beautifully served. Plenty of sandwiches. Freshly baked (and still warm) scones served with tasty jam and cream. Pretty cakes. Accompanied by a pot of tea. We chose to add a glass of Prosecco. Just when we had accepted we couldnt possibly finish all of the goodies, we were offered an extra special and yummy surprise.
