We have been to this restaurant several times now; our reservation was for 8.45 but we was seated closer to 9.30 due to the previous people on the table waiting for transportation. The restaurant was very apologetic and gave us both a free drink. This has never happened before and it would not put me off of going. The restaurant is very friendly and the food is the best Indian we have had and we have tried a lot of different restaurants from local to Michelin star Benares. We recommend this restaurant to everyone we speak to !

Best indian restaurant!! We will never get tired of going to this place, the food is out of this world, friendly staffs, amazing service. The black lentils are so taste and delicious, the lamb chops, the scallops are delightful,

Good service, excellent wine and cocktails but our appetizers were seriously disappointing - stodgy potato cakes and underwhelming chat. Mains and vegetable side was very average. Sure if it were less expensive you'd think it was a decent meal but at that price it's not all its cracked up to be.

We popped in for a spontaneous lunch & decided to go for the set menu after viewing it on their website. Unfortunately it wasn’t the same one, so opted for 2 courses with my partner choosing a starter from the a’l carte & me choosing a mains. The set menu was reasonably priced at £19.99 for 3 courses with a glass a bubbles. However, as we were choosing 2 courses off the set menu & therefore paying more with choosing off the main menu, they didn’t offer the bubbles which was disappointing. A glass of bubbles wouldn’t of impacted them & in-turn would have been a kind gesture of goodwill seeing as we had paid more. We were the only customers for lunch so atmosphere wasn’t great, seeing as we were the only ones, the service wasn’t particularly good either. We had to ask our waiter for our water glasses to be filled each time, and had to remind him for a sample of the wine we had ordered & the bottle of wine itself. Seeing as he had nothing to do but walk up and down, he wasn’t attentive. I have a big gripe about filling up your wine glass half way, especially with white or rose as you want to keep it cold in the bucket. He filled it up, sloshing it into our glasses as if he was to busy to repeat it. The scallops starter were ok, nice heat from the pepper sauce, the flesh soft and cooked nicely but no nut brown crust. The mains were nicely cooked, the chicken soft and flavoursome & the pineapple ice cream dessert was creamy and refreshing. We’ve eaten here on numerous occasions in the evening and at lunch & it’s one of those places where when you spend that kind of money you compare to other high class Indians, it’s not there. Overall the food is ok, better in some areas but customer service is seriously lacking. If they want to keep in business they need to look after their locals.
