Housed in a stunning Grade II-listed, 19th century building, Granaio on Piccadilly serves authentic regional Italian cuisine, using classic recipes steeped in tradition.
The Granaio menu is led by Italian favourites such as lasagna, risotto and Parmigianino. From the pastries to the dishes on the menu, everything is prepared respecting tradition and craftsmanship, using natural ingredients, sourced and selected carefully to ensure the highest quality.
A chic and elegant setting, the restaurant’s interior also reflects Granaio’s proud Italian heritage. Wine bottles and fresh produce line the exposed brick walls whilst wooden tables and chairs create a charmingly rustic feel.
In a prime location in the heart of London’s West End find Granaio directly opposite Piccadilly Circus Tube Station.

Service was ok but food not at all. My risotto was swimming in melted cheese & not hot. My husband’s pasta wasn’t cooked. Both portions were tiny. Starter of Bruscetta was very bland. Lovely interiors and location but food really disappointing. Spoilt a much looked forward to evening out. Also, they were completely out of pizzas and burgers but neglected to tell us until we’d selected our food!

Lovely dining experience. Went with a group of friends for dinner before Christmas. We ordered from the festive set menu. Waiters were all very friendly and attentive. Food was tasty and generously portioned. Beautiful building.

Food was nothing special and portions were small. I ordered lasagne for my main and when it arrived was a pale 3 inch X 3 inch square of the stuff swimming in bechamel sauce. No sign of it having been baked at all! Portion size was more like a starter. Tiramisu for dessert was also disappointing. Very liquidy and not much sponge to be found in in the bowl. The food did not do the grandeur of the dining room justice. We wouln't go back. Waiters were all very nice and high energy. But that wasn't enough to make up for the quality of the food.

Food was great quality and perfectly cooked. Big disappointment was Fillet steak ordered with Fries,Steak arrived with no chips asked waiters 3 times before they brought them. Waiter service worst I have experienced in a very long time! Table not cleared of empty plates glasses not filled and them they add service charges? Will not be returning

Great to find an Italian restaurant with Italian staff both front & back kitchen & in such an amazing venue - I defy anyone not to say that the Criterion doesn't have the most beautiful ceiling in London. Food was great (lamb shank just fell apart), one friend had the beef in red wine & again really yummy. It was my birthday & my waitress made a fuss but not over done...

Excellent food and service in a beautiful art deco room. Great value for money.

A beautiful restaurant spoiled by tasteless enormous photos on the walls spoiling the lovely old decor, dreadful service, and really poor food.

I won’t leave much feedback, except to say that it will come as a shock to fans of the Criterion Restaurant. It’s for tourists, now. I spoke to the manager about our experience. It is what it is, and not what it was. RIP the Criterion.
