The Edible Country is a do-it-yourself restaurant where visitors forage and cook their own food by themselves or with a little help from our local guides at one of thirteen tables placed in the middle of Swedish nature.
How it works: 1. Book your seats at the table for free. Please note that the booking is for seats at the table and DIY recipes – no meals are included in the booking. The table is bookable every Saturday from May 25th to September 28th. 2. Once you’ve made a reservation you will receive an email from your local contact about the experience and how to book add-ons like a cooking kit with basic supplies, a local chef or a foraging guide, accommodation and more. 3. Come to the table and enjoy! We can promise you an unforgettable experience.

The Edible Country along Göta Canal, West Sweden
It’s no wonder that the Göta Canal has been voted the Swedish Construction of the Millennium. Along the canal, there’s an incredible amount to experience for the whole family. Cycle or hike along the pedestrian road and check out all the canal boats being raised by the lock. Maybe you can even be the one to glide on the water in a cruise boat, canoe or kayak? Book the table and enjoy beautiful surroundings, together with friends and family. This table is located in a lush forest grove next to the canal. It is within walking distance of Norrqvarn Hotell & Konferens, which offers really good natural and sustainable food thanks to close cooperation with local producers. The table in Norrqvarn is located between Sweden's two largest lakes, just over 2 hours north-east of Gothenburg.
