We were really disappointed with our food and service. I ordered the chicken Caesar salad, there was some sort of a sauce on the chicken which wasn’t nice at all. The menu didn’t specify there was a sauce, I was expecting plain chicken. My friend ordered the brisket tacos, which were really dry and there was no sauce such as sour cream to add on. No one actually came to check how our food was, or how we were getting on. They didn’t even ask if the food was ok when they took away my bowl pretty much full of chicken (which I had to pay extra for). We felt pretty much forgotten. By the time we actually flagged someone down to get the bill, I just wanted to leave and couldn’t be bothered to complain so I basically paid £20 for salad leaves and a Diet Coke.

It was my first visit to the Golden Grove and I will certainly come again. The menu was a little limited and could have done with more choice but we certainly enjoyed the food we had.

Quite a limited menu on the day we went for"eat out to help out". Out of 4 mains, 3 were burgers and 2 had supplement charges on top. Same for the starters, 2 of 4 had supplements. Drinks were not included, we bought 3 diet cokes and at the end found out they were 3.50 each! We were asked if we want a drink as soon as we sat down so hadn't had a chance to look and thought they were half price! Feel very ripped off when we'd gone out for a cheaper meal as part of the deal and spent 50 pounds on 2 adults and one child!

Really spacious restaurant inside and out, very safe/COVID regs adhered to, polite staff, served promptly, nice food with gluten free options ????

Friendly staff doing their very best to make social distancing work effectively while still being personable. Menu did not have many options as they are only open for a short week, but the food was excellent.

Lovely setting, service fine, food poor. I had a tasteless Caesar salad with some wet, brown chicken dumped on it and a total of 2 croutons.

I met a friend for a weekday lunch. The pub was fairly quiet but met our needs, particularly as we wanted to chat and catch up. Parking was good. Food range was fine. Serving staff were if anything slightly too attentive. In my working life I have eaten many pub-food lunches in many pubs. It was just like those.
