The food was lovely but the ambience was spoilt by the family that thought it was appropriate to let their children run between tables and back and forward through the restaurant. It didn't help that there is a poor selection of wine on the menu, even although an extensive wine list is advertised on their website. We ordered the middle priced wine and yet they brought out the most expensive bottle.

Sorry but this is a negative review. Upon arrival we gave our details to a waiter standing at the entrance who disappeared for a while leaving us standing, then upon his return told me he couldn't help he was 'just a waiter' - why did he not get the person who could help then? We had asked if the spaghetti bolognese could be served with penne pasta instead of spaghetti but were told no. I had asked if I could have the tomato & Basil gnocchi but with penne pasta and after checking with the kitchen I was told this was allowed. When our food arrived two dishes were wrong and had to be sent back to the kitchen. By the time they arrived again the rest of the table had finished their meals, therefore two people ate alone. One of them was actually still incorrect but they ate it anyway as time was getting on. Three of is had the cypress salad to start and had tasteless mozzarella and tasteless tomato. No basil oil or vinaigrette dressing. Just dry salad. Our pasta in our main course was overly soft and fell apart when we tried to stick our fork in it. We were not checked upon once, we had to walk across the restaurant twice to get drinks refilled.

Proper italian cooking with olive oil infused with chillis, olive oil infused with garlic, salt and pepper on the tables. All bread is made on the premises. Tomatoe dipping sauce with the children's dough balls starter is also home made.

They had a reduced menu because of New Year's Eve. The food WAS NOT authentic Italian.

Food was nice but very let down by poor service. Staff took forever to take our order and served people who arrived after us first. They didn't bring our wine requested before our main course until we'd finished eating and so we didn't have it as it was too late then. We were seated in middle of restaurant and when I asked to sit by window I was told we couldn't as others had booked these tables yet no other customers were then seated there and many tables remained covered in dirty dishes all evening. Staff struggled to understand English and attempted to charge us for drinks we didn't order.

Food was lovely and our first two courses came fairly quickly but then it started getting busy and we had a long wait for desserts they had a staffing issue and did apologise so may be a one off? The dessert was lovely though very tasty tiramisu!
