The evening started out badly as there was no table booked in my name. The staff were not particularly helpful and told me that they had changed name the previous month. Given all the signage in the Barbican is to their old name, I noted that confusion all round is to be expected. We were seated at a high table with uncomfortable seats; when another table became available the waiter went off to check if we could move and never came back. This was post pre-theatre rush and there were more staff than customers, but the service was woefully slow and inattentive throughout. After going to the bar and complaining we were moved and given glasses of prosecco as compensation. The food was fine but expensive for the quantity and quality received. Overall I was disappointed - I was looking for a relaxed evening over dinner catching up with friends and the ambience was ruined for me by these problems.

This was an awful experience. Lamb served swimming in rancid oil. They made us sit at a table in the middle of the serving station when beautiful and empty tables sat by window. When we asked if we could sit there they said no. The bookings on those were for 740 and we were leaving at 645. This was horrible as waiters tripped over us and hit us as we ate the overpriced and oily meal. Managers could have made it nice but refused to do so. This is Orestia. We will never eat the garbage they served again.

.Overall the service was very good but the food was poor(from the per-theatre menu). It would have been very overpriced if we chose same items from a la carte.

We were warmly welcomed. The service was very friendly, very attentive - in fact first class. The menu was interesting and the food excellent. The portion size was just right for us - not too large.
We have dined at searcy's a number of times over the last few years, and we will definitely be returning.
