The in-hotel setting is romantic and has a luxurious feel. The wine list is short but of quality. The food itself was okay, slightly disappointed because of the high price tag. I would have expected better quality for an £80 dinner. The sticky toffee pudding was underwhelming at best.

We chose the £19.95 menu. Brasserie food was OK, nothing special. Added a glass or house red wine. Paid £35. Terrible value. NOT happy.

decided on the set price menu, which is good value for money, the staff are very nice and nothing is too much trouble. The venue is amazing, such a lovely building and lovely decor. i found the lighting a little bit bright for dinner in the dining room, i feel some one should look at the ombiance. the bar area is very tastefuly decorated with original features from when the building was the GLC building , but again too bright. They have gone for a pub style menu , whereby chips are served in an enamel dish etc. i chose the yorkshire pudding for starter- come on chef use some imagination here. yorkshire with melted cheese in the middle and a side dish of a horseradish mayo ,really!! , it was boring chef and very bland, use your imagination. main course i couldnt fought , short rib, slow cooked in a bbq sauce and some slaw very nice , i added a side of triple cooked chips which were excellent, and desert was sticky toffee pudding, that was really nice too. . so overall , my verdict is, not sure i would rush back. menu 21.95 pp sides approx 5.00 wine 8.00 per glass g and t = 11.00

The ambience, food and Customer Service was great however I did make a request for a candle to be put on the dessert as it was a special occasion but this didn’t happen.

We had dinner on Sat eve at the restaurant. It was a part of a celebration weekend away for my daughters' birthdays which were in May and June. Due to COVID our trip had been on hold. The restaurant staff were absolutely fantastic and the food was fabulous. The lady that looked after our table was exceptional and made sure that our experience was perfect in every way. I can't recall her name but she has a daughter at uni studying Criminology.
