It is a lovely tranquil restaurant with views of the London eye. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The fish from the set menu was not available and the chief came out to apologise to me personally and offered me an alternative fish and explained how he would cook it. Which made our experience even more memorable. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. We booked a 3 course meal with a gin and tonic for £28.50. My friend I do not like gin so we were given a glass of bubbles instead. Would throughly recommend this restaurant.

We go to Gilrays 3 - 4 times a year and thoroughly enjoy our time here from the food, service and drinks. Unfortunately that was not the case on Saturday, we felt like we had just popped to our local steakhouse. For my main course I had steak, to which was extremely fatty, and unable to eat, when the waiter came up to clear our plates he asked what was wrong, I replied " steak was too fatty" he then walked away and returned with an A4 piece of paper with a printed cow on showing all the cuts of meat, and proceeded to talk to me as if i was a 5 year old and told me, that is what i should expect when I ask for rump steak! I did not complain to him about the steak, I was merely pointing out that my cut was fatty. We was not asked if we would like more drinks. We will not be returning to your venue nor will we be recommending to friends or family as we feel the whole experience has deteriorated immensely.

We arrived early for our booking but were immediately shown to a table. The staff were very pleasant and explained the menu and drinks relevant to the 'deal' booked. Our order was taken but unfortunately there was a long delay between courses. A waitress did apologise for the delay stating they were extremely busy. Our bill was adjusted due to the delay (cost of desserts deducted).

We dined on a Saturday evening and booked through ‘Book a table’ The price was very good value for a 3 course dinner including a cocktail. The food was really nice, the staff were attentive, the atmosphere was relaxing, couldn’t fault at all. We chose the steak as our main and it was one of the best steaks that I have had! We will be returning. Good location too.
