The ambience and location of this restaurant are exceptional - you have a view of the Thames River from County Hall. Food was very good - quality and attention to detail was high. Service was extremely slow. It took more than 20 minutes for someone to take our order once we requested to place our order. The time delay between clearing a course and serving the next course was 15-20 minutes. It took nearly 30 minutes to pay the bill. The restaurant would increase cross-sell/upsell opportunities if they improved timing of service.

Very pleasant experience - however the 'gin cocktail' had barely seen a bottle of gin and was just a watered version of lemon juice!

Set in a nice location but unfortunately our table lacked a view of Big Ben / parliament etc. Food was delicious particularly the smoked haddock chowder and steak ! The dessert had a little room for improvement. Service an ambience was very nice but finding the place was a little tricky. Once found though it was in a beautiful setting.

Very nice waiters, the cocktails were slow in coming.Yorkshire pudding appetizer was heaven! My fish main course was good, but not exceptional, the views on the river were pleasant and the dessert(my favourite part Disappointing)

We enjoyed sunday evening at Gillray's and I must say it was one of the best experiences we had for a long time. When we arrived at our table after being welcomed by a lovely lady, we were stunned. Wow ... What a View! The big ben looking at us the whole night and the lights of the other side of the River Thames adding to this impressive scenery. We started off with some Yorkie's, lovely idea and then had some black pudding with scallops (apparently recepy of chefs grand-ma!) Finally, the steaks came and one was better than the other. I had a Ladies Cut, perfect size for me with some lovely sides. All in all I must say it was beautiful evening. Prices are not cheap but adequed for what you get. Service was just perfect, friendly, personal but not overdoing it. We had another drink in the bar before heading back into the streets of london! We will be back soon for sure!

We were on the special deal which was exceptianal value for money - just could have done with a little more sauce for the beef main course

We were out celebrating a friends birthday, on the star deal offer. The decor of the bar is great with a beautiful central chandelier that you can fail to notice. We all had one of the molecular cocktails, I had a rose water Ricky, it was simply sumptuous. When we moved to the restaurant it was nice to be given the history of Gillrays, our waiter was Constantine. The service was perfect and the food and wine were top notch, we stayed the whole evening and soaked up the views of the river and of Big Ben, which you can hear!!!!! I would recommend to anyone.
