Very good meals on the set menu. Celebrated our anniversary and gave us complimentary drink and dessert. Great food and had a wonderful evening. Even let me change to non alcoholic drinks like fresh juice.

It’s a fantastic hidden restaurant, on the Thames with breathtaking views. This was my 9th visit and everything was first class as always. Staff can’t do enough for you we had Juergen, Silvia and Stijn looking after us and they made sure everything was as it should be. Food was amazing as always and plenty of it too. They serve the best steaks that I’ve ever tasted. Can’t wait until my next visit to London as I’ll will Definitely be visiting and it will be my 10th time at this first class restaurant.

Good service We booked a pre theatre offer advertised for £23 for 2 courses, the bill was presented for 3 courses and whilst we we discussing this a new bill for 2 courses was presented totalli g £83!! Even though we did order two side vegetables and glass of wine( a free glass should have been included according to the advertised offer). A bit of a rip off though the waiter was very attentive.

I had my birthday dinner with the family at Gillray's. I have to admit that I was impressed by the food, service, the ambience, and the location having been to the Hotel many times in the past but not eaten. The attention of the excellent Dutch waiter was very good both in terms of his knowledge and attention to the needs of my guests. The price of the overall meal was surprisingly good value and the final arrival of the birthday brownie was the 'icing on the cake' during the near tropical downpour of the whole day!

The dinner was fine but nothing special for the price we have paid. I excepeted a better meat.

The food and the ambience were wonderful. I hosted a birthday at the venue. Organising events like this can be really stressful but the sales manager Alexandra was the sales manager who supported with the booking, she was super responsive, attentive and passed my requests on to the restaurant. She was super accommodating and went above and beyond, asking the restaurant to print and arrange place cards on the table according to my table plan exactly as I'd asked. They separated our bills to make it super efficient settling everything at the end of the night. David our waiter was OUT OF THIS WORLD. Super polite, attentive, and surprised me with a really nice birthday favour at the end. The team really made my night incredibly special and I'm very grateful!

The food was ok, the chicken was a little dry but that was ok. What really let the restaurant down was the service. We were on the theatre menu which I thought was supposed to be quick but it took over two hours to do 3 courses. The slow service was not caused by the kitchen but rather the time it took to take our order in the first place and then to clear our plates and to offer us dessert and then take the dessert order. Once the dessert plates were taken it took at least 15 minutes until the waitress walked past the table and I managed to ask for the bill after trying to ask 3 other different waiters and failing to get their attention. The bill was then wrong and had to be changed and it took ages to get the card machine in order that we could pay. Overall the food was average and the service was poor for the price we paid I will not be returning and would not recommended it to anyone looking for a quick theatre menu, it was a good thing we didn't have a show to see because we would have missed it.
