Housed in Oxford’s iconic glass house, Gee’s Restaurant offers rustic, artisan British cuisine. Enjoy the light-filled conservatory dining room dotted with trees and plants, or head to the glossy marble-topped, mirrored cocktail bar.

Sourcing produce from the bountiful Oxfordshire countryside, the Gee’s menu showcases Brixham fish & seafood, and meats from owner Jeremy Mogford’s own farm. As well as wood-fired fish and charcoal-grilled steaks and chops, enjoy Gee’s favourites like hay-baked ham with duck egg & chips, or slow-roast fennel with goats’ curd & dill.

A chic bar at Gee’s in Oxford serves inventive cocktail mixes, juices pressed in house and freshly brewed coffees. An accomplished international wine list offers blends by the glass, pichet and bottle, and a creative dessert menu includes chocolate & espresso tart, or rhubarb trifle.

A beautiful conversion of one of Oxford’s most famous buildings, Gee’s Restaurant sits in the historic city centre, a 4-minute drive from Oxford Train Station.

Beautiful building - lovely ambience and good service but the food could have been warmer

Sadly, in my opinion very poor value for money. The prices were very expensive for dishes that at best were mediocre. £10.95 for 3 very well done haddock fishcakes which were not at all good

Lovely location - perfect for celebrating our son's 19th birthday - twinkly lights, memorable setting. Parking across the road very easy which is a big bonus.
Lovely attentive staff, big basket of delicious bread!
We didn't have starters but all agreed the monkfish, stone bass, burger and steak excellent - big flavours and good sized portions.
Exciting menu - could happily have chosen most things on it!
For puddings the coffee ice cream was wonderful as was the sticky toffee pud and chocolate nemesis.
Two of us had the plum meringue tart which was tasty though the meringue was rather runny for my taste.
Will definitely return - lovely place for a romantic meal or special occasion. Not cheap - ours was £50 a head with 2 bottles of wine between 6, no starters or coffee - but worth it.

My favorite place in Oxford in early 2000s has changed very little in almost 13 years I have not been there. Yes, it became less formal, no white cloths on tables, etc. But the food which is still largely based on local English seasonal ingredients is creative and simple but perfect in execution (my favorite was chanterelles with pumpkin as a side). Was very happy to come back and not be disappointed!

Beautiful conservatory dining room, delicious food (sharing tapas & venison highly recommended & fellow diners loved the guinea fowl & risotto). Lovely setting & ambience with a lovely bar/seated area for pre-dinner drinks

Gee's is an evolving restaurant, a new team are changing many aspects of the restaurant, the menu, the seating, and for a glass building importantly the heating and cooling. It is at a stage where the food is solidly good without wow-ing. £145 for four persons 3 starters, 4 mains, 2 wines, 2 hot beverages is OK but the fact that I noticed the charge is a signal that the overall experience was not so great as to make me feel like the cost was worth it! The menu is presented in a script and at a lighting level that makes it difficult to read after about 7pm in winter.
