Restaurant description

Brimming with Argentinean charm, Gaucho Piccadilly is housed in the old wine cellars of the Mexican ambassador. This expansive restaurant stretches over 4 floors, with an exclusive wine boutique in the original vaulted cellars.

A renowned Argentinian steakhouse, the Gaucho menu presents an array of bold flavours. Taking inspiration from Latin American restaurants and culture, fresh ingredients are used to create signature dishes such as steak with a choice of béarnaise or chimichurri sauce, pan-seared bream with pickled fennel and dill, and the wild mushroom tagliatelle with Torrontés cream and tarragon.

Desserts at Gaucho in London are equally enticing, whilst classic and signature cocktails are joined by an impressive selection of wines from South America and beyond. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush leather in dramatically decorated dining rooms.

In a landmark area of the capital, Gaucho restaurant in London blends authentic customs with cosmopolitan luxury. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is just a 5-minute walk away.

We arrived early and had a quick drink in the bar area before our meal. We had been here before - so our expectations had been set! From a good perspective - they lived up to standard but for service - we were less impressed! Additional drinks orders seemed forgotten about. There seemed to be a lack of attention to detail. When we wanted to get the bill, it was difficult to catch the eye of any waiter for service. In the end my partner just got up and asked one of the managers. We were seated on the ground floor, which is quite noisy so it was difficult to hold a conversation with each other.

We had the 3 courses and glass of Prosecco deal which was good value. Lovely choice of starters , I had salad of figs, goats curd and other bits, really tasty. Good steak for main and other choices available. Choice of three desserts and we left feeling quite full.

Food good. Service not good. Still waiting to hear from them as they said they would offer us something as an apology.

We booked table for 6:45 and were told it would be ready in five minutes. Half and hour later we left as table still wasn’t ready and we had no updates

Very good deal. My friend and I arrive about 8 mins late and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The service very good anad the waitress was attentive and very kind to explain the difference in various cooktail. Food - I like the sweet potato salad. Steaks were cooked to what I like medium rare. I enjoyes the dessert very much even I do not have a sweet tooth.
