Restaurant description

Brimming with Argentinean charm, Gaucho Piccadilly is housed in the old wine cellars of the Mexican ambassador. This expansive restaurant stretches over 4 floors, with an exclusive wine boutique in the original vaulted cellars.

A renowned Argentinian steakhouse, Gaucho continues to serve some of the finest beef in the world, now complemented by a broader food and wine offering in a contemporary setting. Taking inspiration from modern Argentina and all of its global influences, fresh ingredients are used to create signature dishes such as steak with a choice of béarnaise or chimichurri sauce, pan-seared bream with pickled fennel and dill, and wild mushroom tagliatelle with Torrontés cream and tarragon.

Desserts at Gaucho in London are equally enticing, whilst classic and signature cocktails are joined by an impressive selection of wines from South America and beyond. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush leather in dramatically decorated dining rooms.

In a landmark area of the capital, Gaucho restaurant in London blends authentic customs with cosmopolitan luxury. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is just a 5-minute walk away.

I had the most amazing dining experience at this Gaucho and I am well versed on the London fine dining scene. I cannot fault the place, from entering the restaurant and up until I left the staff were on point. Service was flawless and food was delicious. I loved the fact that Rezza had actually been to Argentina (I have too) he in particular was amazing and I think he should be promoted! I felt such at home there I didn't want to leave! I am going to make a conscious effort to book all of my business lunches there and have already been recommending this establishment to my colleagues and friends. Bravo.

Brunch was chaotic, not a great choice and drink was ok but hardly describe as bottomless. We did make our opinions known to the manager and received a discount but I will stick to brunch at other places like One Aldwych & Avenue. Gaucho should stick to what it does best.

We had an amazing meal. Very impressed with the scallops as a starter and the staff were helpful but not too much so! They didn't have a record of our booking but we're happy to honour it anyway. We shared two sides between the two of us and it was plenty. Also loved the desert sampler. Can't wait to go back again!!

Lovely staff, food menu a little limited once faced with it on the day. There was only 1 of 3 juices available. Some dishes were lovely as really fresh but some seemed a little old. Dishes quite bread based. Great cocktail of the day and Chandon.

We had an excellent lunch yesterday following a not so great experience previously. Both the food and service was top class and the waitress that had only started that day did a fantastic job of looking after us. Will definitely be going back again in the very near future.
