Restaurant description

Brimming with Argentinean charm, Gaucho Piccadilly is housed in the old wine cellars of the Mexican ambassador. This expansive restaurant stretches over 4 floors, with an exclusive wine boutique in the original vaulted cellars.

A renowned Argentinian steakhouse, Gaucho continues to serve some of the finest beef in the world, now complemented by a broader food and wine offering in a contemporary setting. Taking inspiration from modern Argentina and all of its global influences, fresh ingredients are used to create signature dishes such as steak with a choice of béarnaise or chimichurri sauce, pan-seared bream with pickled fennel and dill, and wild mushroom tagliatelle with Torrontés cream and tarragon.

Desserts at Gaucho in London are equally enticing, whilst classic and signature cocktails are joined by an impressive selection of wines from South America and beyond. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush leather in dramatically decorated dining rooms.

In a landmark area of the capital, Gaucho restaurant in London blends authentic customs with cosmopolitan luxury. Piccadilly Circus Tube Station is just a 5-minute walk away.

First time doing a cigar tasting and guided experience, and the 3 gents hosting were amazing and certainly did not disappoint . Great accommodations and friendly discussions with guests and with my group. Mario and Bastien were particularly really professional and made it a really informative and enjoyable experience for us all. I have already booked on for the October session and would definitely recommend for any cigar first-timers or visiting gaucho in general, as it was a really fun and special night. Really great service and we dined in for a seamless dinner reservation after , which the team helped accommodate. Informative and really engaging - thanks gents!

The decor and location of the restaurant great. Initially seated near 3 very loud and noisy females, requested to be moved far away from them, the manager initially said he couldn’t hear them, but later changed his statement. Ordered burger and chips, the chips were not golden yellow and crispy, instead they were dark brown/ grey, soft and tasted stale, like they had been re heated. Obviously they were not fresh potatoes cut into chips, they must have come from a frozen bag. After informing 2 of the waiters we were not happy, and being back chatted by them, the manger stepped in and apologised, replacing them with 2 other sides. The burger was not great, bacon was very fatty and the meat had gristle. We then ordered a sticky toffee pudding, this was extremely dry and hard. The manager did nothing to compensate us for our poor meal, he even had the cheek to add on service charge to our bill.

I booked this restaurant for my 18th birthday dinner. Honestly amazing! The service was impeccable, the managers, the hosts, and our waitress looked after us really well. The food was delicious and the steak just melted in your mouth. I will definitely be coming back again.

Everything about this restaurant could not be faulted. From the moment we walked through the door the service was superb, especially our waiter Pascal who was absolutely brilliant. All three courses were amazing.

Disappointing overall. Had to send Luke warm fries back and replacements were average. Starter prices high for what they were. Silly wine prices
