A short stroll away from Edinburgh Castle, in renowned St. Andrew’s Square, Gaucho showcases Argentinian steaks, made from Black Angus cattle fed on Pampmas grass. Guests can relax and unwind in a luxurious setting with leather booths and flamboyant decor.
A renowned Argentinian steakhouse, Gaucho continues to serve some of the finest beef in the world, now complemented by a broader food and wine offering in a contemporary setting. Taking inspiration from modern Argentina and all of its global influences, fresh ingredients are used to create signature dishes such as steak with a choice of béarnaise or chimichurri sauce, pan-seared bream with pickled fennel and dill, and wild mushroom tagliatelle with Torrontés cream and tarragon.
Desserts at Gaucho in Edinburgh are equally enticing, whilst classic and signature cocktails are joined by an impressive selection of wines from South America and beyond. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush leather in dramatically decorated dining rooms.
In the heart of the city, Gaucho Edinburgh is a 5-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverly Rail Station.

We enjoyed the early bird menu before having drinks in the city. The starter was delicious, steak melted in your mouth and was a great piece of meat. Service was excellent. Champagne was to die for.

Very attentive staff, beautiful place, food was nice, steak was excellent, lovely decor. one little problem with the churros where the little pot the chocolate sauce came in had obviously had something else in it - it tasted cheesy. Another pot was brought over but was delayed and I had eaten churros by then. Was not charged for the churros. Would definately go back - the bar also looked lovely.

There was a mix up with the booking which was odd - so it didn’t get off to a great start but we were given a table ok with the deal. The waiter Craig was excellent and so was the meal
