Restaurant description

A short stroll away from Edinburgh Castle, in renowned St. Andrew’s Square, Gaucho showcases Argentinian steaks, made from Black Angus cattle fed on Pampmas grass. Guests can relax and unwind in a luxurious setting with leather booths and flamboyant decor.

A renowned Argentinian steakhouse, Gaucho continues to serve some of the finest beef in the world, now complemented by a broader food and wine offering in a contemporary setting. Taking inspiration from modern Argentina and all of its global influences, fresh ingredients are used to create signature dishes such as steak with a choice of béarnaise or chimichurri sauce, pan-seared bream with pickled fennel and dill, and wild mushroom tagliatelle with Torrontés cream and tarragon.

Desserts at Gaucho in Edinburgh are equally enticing, whilst classic and signature cocktails are joined by an impressive selection of wines from South America and beyond. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush leather in dramatically decorated dining rooms.

In the heart of the city, Gaucho Edinburgh is a 5-minute walk from Edinburgh Waverly Rail Station.

Very polite and attentive staff, was lovely to have doors held open! We had chosen an offer of 3 courses with a glass of wine for £25, and every course was delicious. The cerviche tasted really fresh, the rump steak was cooked to perfection and the chips were home made! The lemon tart with Italian meringue was to die for! Have already recommended it to the company I work for as we’re opening a new store in Multrees Walk shortly!!!

. Warm friendly welcome. Very attentive staff. Had the Set Menu with £6 supplement for the fillet steak. Great decision, best steak I’ve had in a while. Very good value for money. Will definitely return and would have no hesitation recommending this restaurant
