A high-end hideaway in the West End, Gaucho Charlotte Street offers a glamorous take on Argentinian cuisine. Offering one of London’s most glamorous drinks stocks, the cocktail list is compiled by a ‘Bartender of the Decade’ award winner.
A renowned Argentinian steakhouse, the Gaucho menu presents an array of bold flavours. Taking inspiration from Latin American restaurants and culture, fresh ingredients are used to create signature dishes such as steak with a choice of béarnaise or chimichurri sauce, pan-seared bream with pickled fennel and dill, and the wild mushroom tagliatelle with Torrontés cream and tarragon.
Desserts at Gaucho in London are equally enticing, whilst classic and signature cocktails are joined by an impressive selection of wines from South America and beyond. Contemporary and edgy, Gaucho restaurants feature swathes of plush leather in dramatically decorated dining rooms.
This contemporary space features cocooned booths, cowhide panels and various mezzanine levels. Gaucho on Charlotte Street is a 2-minute walk from Goodge Street Tube Station.

I’ve been to other gauchos before. This particular restaurant decor is stylish, classy and intimate - perfect for date night. The other gauchos are better for large groups and birthdays/group occasions. The food was gorgeous, tasted even better of the 3 courses for £25 deal! Such a good offer and amazing value for money, I’ll be using it again and again until it closes. Gauchos have the best bread and chummichurri sauce I have tasted in my life, of course starters, main and desert were divine. They even prepared a lovely birthday treat for my friend. I will always love gauchos!

Gaucho of 5-10 years ago has long gone and is now more an everyday place. Gaucho's used to be of the Goodmans / Hawksmoor ilk and price range, but that is no longer. It is more a cheap and cheerful place. The staff are friendly but have the impression that they would rather be anywhere else than in the restaurant. The food is average, including the steaks, the fries really are quite dire though. The churros are fabulous and hit the spot. The wine list is quite varied and covers all price ranges. I wouldn't suggest this place for any special events but just for a catch-up meal with friends.

Good value offer from Bookatable, £25 for 3 courses including a glass of wine. Upgraded to filet and rib-eye for an additional £6 each, still good value.

You don't even need a steak knife to cut the steaks here. Excellent service, fabulous food and excellent value - went for three-course deal. Would definitely return.
