Fast attentive service which was good as we were going to theatre and we were late arriving due to traffic congestion. Also waiter thanked me for ringing to warn of our late arrival which was courteous and was appreciated .

Very disappointed with the service and food. After order taken waited 20 mins and then had to ask for our drinks which came after another 10 mins. The food was poor. The steak and jacket potato were unappetising and poorly presented. The jacket potatoes were not cooked properly so were hard in the middle and not crisp on outside. Also not clean so traces of dirt on outside. Steak small and served with a sprig of watercress which was dead and inedible. For £15.95 it was very poor.

We booked Garfunkels because it was near the Lyceum Theatre so that we could have a pre theatre meal before seeing The Lion King. We were pleased we'd booked as there was a small queue as we arrived, as it was very busy probably with pre theatre meals, but we were quickly shown to our table when we said we had booked. Some tables seemed quite close to each other but there were some pleasant dividers between.Service was very prompt and pleasant. We chose the set meal which was a reasonable price with some choice. We knew Garfunkels was a "chain" like Wetherspoons etc and did not expect all food to be cooked from fresh. However we were satisfied for the price and choices.

Nice meal, friendly, efficient staff. Table ready for us on arrival.
No complaints, definitely visit again when in town for another show.
