Serving sustainable seafood in the heart of Glasgow, Gamba has earned 2 AA Rosettes for its exciting menu.

Focussing on locally sourced produce, the Gamba menu is led by fresh seafood dishes, but also showcases flavourful meat and vegetarian options. Try hand-dived king scallops with cauliflower and parmesan purée, truffle oil and black pudding, or fresh Isle of Gigha halibut with mussels, crabmeat, garden peas, red pepper cream and crispy capers. Elsewhere on the menu, find barley risotto with parmesan and pesto, or roast breast of duck with spring greens, ginger, turnip mash, chilli, honey and soy.

An extensive wine list complements the menu at Gamba restaurant Glasgow, whilst indulgent desserts and a selection of cheese boards offer a sublime end to the meal. With a nautical theme, blue glass windows and a colourful seafood mural adorning the wall create a bright, laid-back setting.

Centrally located, Gamba Glasgow is a 6-minute walk from Glasgow Central Train Station.

    Very nice meal although we felt service was rushed throughout particularly when we weren't asked if we wanted to see dessert menus. These were almost thrown onto the table in front of each of us too soon after our main courses. We weren't too impressed with the limied choice on the wine menu. For the cost of the evening we would have expected service to be less frantic.

    Was excited to be eating here and assumed it was going to get a Mitchlin star very soon, unfortunately after dining there for lunch I don't think there is much chance of that. There was 2 people hosting that day and normally staff are are quite gushing and over friendly, not here, here is the conversation that followed, hello, here is the menu( no explanation of al a carte or 2 or 3 course meal on offer ) would you like a drink, would you like a bread roll. Then I placed my lunch order, sashimi followed by plain lemon sole of the bone and just broccoli as a side ( didn't want the osyster sauce that came with it) The sashimi was great and honestly the best wasabi I have ever had, before my main arrived the bread plate and knife were quickly taken away, hey, you know I might have wanted another. My sole arrived 4 fillets fanned out on the plate with a sprig of dill and half a lemon which was encased in a muslin bag, novel, never seen that before, my broccoli side consisted of 2 broccoli florets. (£4) and that was it. Very plain, the 2 staff were quite vocal regarding work issues and seemed more interested in that conversation than communicating with guests. Overall not one of my favourites and for the 1st time ever I gave a £7% tip, normally I over tip 15-20%, but I couldn't wait to leave, sorry.

    Superb food, crab starter was delicious so refreshing. The monkfish tails with scallops were delicious and the special peanut butter brownie I can't find words for, the tastiest dessert I have had in a long time.
    Staff were all lovely and friendly.

    We come to Gamba every year for our wedding anniversary and it has never disappointed yet! Lemon sole meunière and the monkfish and scallops cooked in paper arethe stuff of legend in our house!
