The beetroot on the starter was very hard but main course was very good. The service was excellent but the cocktail was very poor

A lovely night. Fantastic food and a great atmosphere with perfect service. Even made a bespoke Brandy Alexander cocktail for me to top off my evening. They were very patient- letting us stay on and on. The bar was spectacular for drinks beforehand. Beautiful city views from the enormous windows. We’ll be back.

Great views and nice interior. Service and food a bit of a let-down. Lots of staff in hand but all a bit clueless, wrong orders coming out or we had to order twice! I personally found the food rather bland and for a Michelin star restaurant overall very disappointing.

There was nothing disappointing, but there was nothing to wow us. The dining room felt slightly too crowded, not much space between tables. The menus were what I would expect in a gastro pub, and the dishes were not of a suffiently elevated standard to warrant the restaurants status. The staff were attentive however and apart from some tentative placing of cutlery between courses, were good. When you are are paying that sort of money, I felt a £6 supplement for a small Fillet, belied the feeling of the establishment. In my opinion, the fare felt like a restaurant that was resting on its laurels. We had a bottle of Amarone which was slightly too punchy and lacked smoothness, not good enough for a £160 bottle. In terms of rating, I would like to give it 2.5 stars, but that's not available, so my value for money feelings have marked it at 2.
