Lunch in a golf club restaurant ? Yes - I had the celeriac and truffle veloute followed by the venison. All nicely cooked and presented by friendly staff. We shared a half litre of the house cab sav. Lunch menu is excellent value.

it was lovely, food was very good and service excellent in the restaurant. The bar waiter didnt seem to have a clue about finding me a glass of wine which was to my taste. also we had a call at 9.30 sunday morning to confirm the table time and when we arrived they said the table would be 10 mins which was fine, half an hour later i had to ask if the table was ready which it was and had been for about 15 minutes,

Lovely food but London prices felt a bit steep out here. We paid £200 for 2 including a wine from the cheaper end of the list. I'd expect to pay that in a Michelin stared place in town, but not outside. Staff are very nice. All new and nicely done but at the end of the day you are sat in a golf clubhouse not an intimate restaurant. Will be back for a Sunday Lunch though.

As always the food was very good and very good value. We have eaten at this restaurant several times and the service has generally been very good. However this time it was extremely annoying. Several waiters attended the table and were constantly trying to hurry us up, even though there was clearly not a second sitting. The service was very intrusive and spoiled an otherwise very good meal
