Gallery Mess is a stunning dining space inside the Saatchi Gallery, serving a variety of menus all through the day, including champagne afternoon teas. Inside there are vaulted ceilings, exposed brickwork and fine art on display, while the tranquil al fresco terrace overlooks The Green.
The Gallery Mess menu starts the day with a variety of options, ranging from hearty full English breakfasts through to freshly baked pastries. Saturday brunches feature unlimited bloody Mary and Champagne options, while the afternoon tea menu offers up a selection of British sandwiches, scones, cakes, and even mini afternoon tea options for kids.
Enjoy seasonal British flavours on the main menu at Gallery Mess in Chelsea, starting off with English asparagus with crisp hen's egg, followed by Spring lamb rump with wild garlic and rissole potatoes. There is a diverse wine list full of international vintages, and all kinds of colourful cocktails from the bar.
A true step above the usual gallery dining options, Gallery Mess is a beautiful restaurant in London that sits just 3 minutes' walk from Sloane Square Tube Station.

Booked for an informal business lunch. Thoroughly recommend. Everything was very fresh and tasty; service was good, no long waits. Very pleasant décor and environment. Good value.

Dined here during SCOOP and had a very nice lunch. My colleague had the cauliflower steak and I had the Freekah salad, both excellent. The service was super and they totally got that we were on a time limit with prior appointments made.

Afternoon tea was super and beautifully presented . Lovely warm scones with delicious sandwiches and a wide selection of mini cakes to enjoy. Great value when compared to other high end venues

We recently enjoyed an afternoon tea with a glass of champagne. We arrived a bit early for our booking but there was no problem with fitting us in. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and good friendly service. The tea included a good range of sandwiches, scones (with jam and cream) and petits fours without being pretentious. Scones were a bit dry but overall a great experience and good value.

The restaurant is nice but too expensive compared to the quality of its food. It is suitable for lunch rather than dinner as at night its kitchen closes very early (it may close even before you have ordered all of your courses, as it happened to us). The personnel was kind and helpful though.

Lots of changes since our last visit . Menu is not very inspiring . Decor is looking tired . Don’t like gallery visitors having to queue inside restaurant . Not a relaxing experience by any means.
