Went for dinner on a bank holiday Sunday evening. The food was nice - I had the short rib which would have been enough for 2 people - it was lovely and tender and I was very satisfied and happy. The other people in my party also enjoyed their meals. We dined at 8:00 in the restaurant upstairs. It is very nicely decorated and the waitress was lovely. The only note for improvement was that the drinks service was incredibly slow, our first drinks and our food arrived almost at the same time. There is a bar upstairs but the drinks were brought up from the downstairs bar. Being a bank holiday evening the bar was really busy and so we waited a long time. We ordered two drinks each and the same thing happened with the second drinks - we waited nearly 20 minutes for these drinks.
The decor of the restaurant is very nice. There is a lot of attention to detail. We picked the wrong night to attend as it was very loud - it is primarily a bar and so the music takes centre stage. It's good music and the atmosphere in the bar was great - but it makes for a slightly different dining experience as it makes holding conversation somewhat awkward.
I would possibly go back for an earlier meal before the music kicks off. I wouldn't recommend a meal at that time if you don't enjoy that type of dining environment.
