Frontline has a clubby, relaxed atmosphere, not surprising when you appreciate that the restaurant sits below a leading club of war reporters dedicated to highlighting global causes and crises. The menu is an uncompromising selection of honest British dishes, with ingredients from independent suppliers and the owner's own farm in Norfolk. A cleverly priced wine list chosen by Malcolm Gluck opts for flat charges rather than mark-ups.

It had been a good few years since I last visited the Frontline, I had previously experienced poor service. But I decided to give it another go. Food was of fairly good standard, nice simple lunch menu and prices reasonable. The service however hadn't improved much! Quick to give you a menu, but I had to get someone's attention to take the order (20 minutes). Waiting staff look disorganised and poorly managed.

We had an excellent experience: welcoming, capable staff in an interesting environment. Frontline is an organization of worldwide photojournalists whose work is displayed and featured in the restaurant. The food is very good; we had the cod and haddock, but there are meat and chicken entres that looked good, too. This was s a unique place near Paddington Station; so, very convenient, also. I'd recommend it.

Being a little away from the West End this restuarant was quiet for an early Saturday dinner, which was pleasant, although it got busier later. Having spent a day out in the West End and travelling back via Paddington Frontline provided excellent food and service in a pleasant and unhurried atmospere and at the perfect location. Definitely a good choice rather than the frantic nature of a Saturday night in Soho! I was looking for good quality food in an interesting environment for my Wife's birthday and Frontline did not disappoint. The menu was interesting and varied and although not large still had us struggling to decide between dishes. The service was prompt helpful and engaging.

Overall a very poor experience - we booked on a recommendation and due to proximity to Paddington as were hosting some very important business partners Drinks order was slow in being taken and then the wrong drinks were delivered The waiter got a food order wrong and delivered both starter and main at same time for one of the guests - due to the length of time food had taken and the fact it was getting late we continued - this then meant that our main courses were late in being delivered. The food quality was poor and my fish was soggy and undercooked and chip portion totalled to 10 chips! The prices were typically London but the food was the worst quality pub grub! By this time it was too late to change or do anything different so we left asap Will not be revisiting this restaurant as I cannot afford to put my partners through this expereicne again and I have already had to apologise to them for the poor choice of restaraunt
