The view and old style

A beautiful Victorian mansion, Fowey Hall Hotel looks out over the stunning Fowey Estuary, and is said to have inspired Toad Hall in Wind in the Willows. Inside, its 2 AA Rosette-awarded restaurant serves up Cornish-inspired gourmet flavours, as well as classic afternoon teas which can be enjoyed out on the tranquil terrace.
Fresh local flavours abound on the Fowey Hall Hotel menu, with herbs used from the hotel's own garden, and other ingredients taken right from the local beaches. Cornish catch of the day is served with English asparagus, tempura langoustine, Cornish crushed new potatoes and fish velouté, with other hearty recipes including Gelly Farm organic free change chicken, served as roasted breast and confit thigh, with pancetta, herb mash and morel sauce.
Other authentic Cornish produce features at Fowey Hall Hotel in Cornwall, including Camel Valley wines, Tarquin's gin and Skinner's ales. Afternoon teas are an indulgent affair, and include finger sandwiches, fresh scones with jam and clotted cream, delicate pastries, and loose leaf teas.
Catering for children as well, and with fantastic attention to detail throughout, Fowey Hall Hotel is just a 7-minute walk from central Fowey.

Excellent food and good service - a shame that the hotel was looking a bit tired in places.

I booked my wife and girlfriends afternoon tea as a birthday present. They had a fantastic time. Thank you very much. Hopefully I can come next time. Steve Thompson.

Friendly, professional and efficient service, stylish interior, well prepared and presented food. Fantastic location. We had Sunday lunch menu which was really good value and lovely food - we had a choice of a roast (lamb), fish, veggie and chicken. The home made chicken liver parfait/pate was very very good and all our choices cooked beautifully and presented well. Good choice of wine and wine suggestions on menu for each course.

My mother and I had the cream tea as I had bought it for her for a Christmas present. It was a lovely afternoon and the food was lovely. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent service and lovely afternoon tea in the restaurant overlooking the sea. Looked after and my mum whose birthday it was, was made to feel special without too much fuss.
