The food was excellent, particularly the fish soup. The Swallow St. restaurant is just as good as the Marylebone Fishworks, and much easier to reach by public transport.

We had the set lunch. The Brixham Fish soup was great. This was followed by the deep fried cod, fat chips and mushy peas. The fish was fresh, the batter crisp and the portion huge. The fat chips were great, but a few more would have been nice.

Conveneinte position for visiting the Royal Academy. Restaurant - lovely ambiance, and airy and cool on a very hot day. We had the set lunch, which has a good choice - though could not understand a supplement on smoked salmon! Devilled white bait fresh and nicely spiced. The fish with chips and the fillet of seabream were very good. Wine yummy. The waiter was attentive and charming, brinig us copious amounts of ice (without being asked) on the hottest day in the London - which was great

Great food and lovely, knowledgeable service from our waiter who took the time to explain the flavours of British fish to my American visitors.
Only quibble is that the website said the set menu would still be available at 6pm when it wasn’t which was a bit awkward. I had also expected/hoped the special dietary needs (no dairy) that i’d specified to be passed on, although our waiter coped well with that request.
