The service and food were excellent. We dined at 6pm in the week and it was very quiet, but we passed the location on a Sunday and it was really busy. Staff were great, really helpful and polite. It was good value, although maybe a pound or two a dish more than I would expect for pub food, but this was not an issue due to the huge amount of food we received. The food servings were enormous and I think we could have just had a starter and a dessert really. One of our party had a pie from the carvery and it appeared to be home made and tasted lovely. Great location on the riverbank as well and you can sit outside and eat. Would definitely recommend for an early evening meal, maybe not the weekend though!

The meal was good, but one of our group was waiting for her meal for ages. We had all nearly finished and she was one of the first to order. This spoilt what was a birthday lunch for one of my friends.

We had a table for 9 booked for a Sunday carvery. The weather was wonderful and we asked if we could dine outside. This was no problem and had a lovely table by the river. The carvery was very good, nice fresh veg, plenty of meat and nobody felt hungry afterwards. For less than £10 per person we all felt the value was excellent. Next time we are in Horning this is where we will go to eat.
