A lovely experience, delicious food and excellent wine. The service was the best I've ever experienced, attentive but not intrusive. The Ritz could learn a lot from Claridges!

Michelin-starred Fera at Claridge's is inspired by the rhythms of the seasons, bringing a creative and natural approach to contemporary British cuisine.

The Fera menu uses the finest seasonal ingredients to create à la carte and tasting menus that capture the essence of nature. Regularly reimagined in line with the season’s best produce, dishes are compiled with sensitivity, ingenuity and world-class skill. These might include Galloway beef with turnip, oyster mushroom and bone marrow, or salted chocolate cream with jasmine, lemon and caramel.

Equally inspired by nature, ambience was created by the acclaimed interior architect Guy Oliver.

    Booking service was fine.
Sat in the bar on arrival but appeared to be some confusion about the deal. Always helps to take the paperwork.
    Service was very attentive.
Food was good but not memorable.
Wine is expensive compared to other restaurants.
Whilst it was a good meal there was very little interaction with the staff.

An outstanding pre-theatre lunch - we chose the 3-course fixed price menu, which was full of interesting flavours, attractively presented, pleasantly light and impeccably and efficiently served

Amazing personable service, Michelin-star level food, unusual flavour combination, immaculate presentation and great atmosphere in fabulous setting of world-famous art-deco hotel. Exceeded our demanding and experienced expectations.

Everything including the service was fantastic overall. My wife's Pollack was undercooked so they took both our meals and gave us new meals !

Restaurant was not too big and had than Art Deco feel about it which felt very decadent. Food was Beaufifully presented and tasted lovely. The desserts were to die for.

Booked a table for two at 6.30pm. Arrived early so had a drink at the bar. No table available so sat at the bar. Very attentive service, we were shown to a table shortly afterwards. The staff were aware of our booking in the restaurant and we were taken to our table at the appointed time. Very attractive dining area, with tables well spaced. The waiting staff were aware that we had opted for the Bookatable offer.

The first thing that happened was we were asked if we suffered from any food allergies. This was commendable, because my dining companion and me are both public health professionals and we were in London to specifically attend a conference at the Royal Society for Public Health. This included several papers on food allergies and the devastating consequences that can occur when food businesses get it wrong!

The service from the staff, the food and the whole experience were impeccable. Limited choice of dishes on the special offer menu. My companion and me both chose the pollack as our main dish which was wonderfully presented and delicious. My companion opted for cheese instead of dessert at an £8.00 supplement while I had a dish which included a beetroot sorbet, unusual but most enjoyable. The waiting staff explained the basis of each of the dishes we had chosen, and for my companion even the order in which to eat the various cheeses presented. This was in itself a generous size.

As commented on in other reviews, you need to watch the "extras' which can add significantly to the final bill. I had a small glass of red wine, which I think cost £29.90! There was another option of the three course meal with an introductory gin and tonic or glass of champagne, a half bottle of wine and a tea or coffee for £55.00 a head which if I were going again I would select.

The final bill with service came to £190.00. I felt guilty because I had booked the table but my companion was paying.

To summarise, an expensive but wonderful dining experience.
