In London’s Westminster, within easy reach of Victoria Street & Birdcage Walk, Feathers is a traditional pub serving a variety of British dishes in a warm, welcoming ambience. With a Victorian façade, the pub includes comfy leather banquettes and outside it stand two sculptures by Epstein, depicting ‘day’ and ‘night’.
Since Nicholson’s pubs were first established in 1873, these traditional British inns have become synonymous with warm hospitality, hearty pub food and a speciality range of ales. As well as always featuring British pub classics like beer-battered fish & chips and gammon & eggs, the Feathers menu is complemented by a rotating selection of pie, sausage & chop and fish specials for each season.
The Feathers bar is always stocked with exquisite gins, warming whiskies and fine wines to pair with favourite meals, and there’s always a superb range of seasonal and regional real ales on offer. A constant at the bar is the St Austell-brewed Nicholson’s Pale Ale, made with Cornish Maris Otter malts, and a hand-picked blend of English hops.
Feathers in St James’s is a 1-minute walk from St James’s Park Tube Station.

A good selection of dishes on the menu - I went for a simple sandwich lunch with a choice of fries or salad. The venue is a traditional london pub.

We had an early lunch at Feathers. The fish and chips and veggie burger were great!

Great place, friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Food was tasty, served quickly and fairly priced. Although I would've liked some veg with my fish cakes.

Great food all round. Though taking our drink orders took longer than normal and food took a long time to come. Food was great. Drink tasted a little watered down.

The service was quick and staff polite and courteous. The portions were disappointingly small. I ordered a steak frites and the steak was the size of a banger.

I was impressed by the service and food. I pre-booked a table and luckily was reserved a table upstairs as we were meeting to chat and we could not have done that downstairs.

We booked online for a meal for 4 on New Years Eve as we had tickets for the Embankment celebrations. As we had never used the Feathers before there is always some worry about what the food will be like. No need to worry. The Feathers was great. We were welcomed by very friendly staff and had a few drinks in the bar before going up to the dining room. The food was usual pub food but very good. The staff were friendly and polite and we had a great time. Next time we are in London we will be back.
