Starting off as a pop-up venture, Farang has now become a permanent restaurant after diners were blown away by the exotic Thai delicacies on the mouthwatering menu. This cosy little restaurant features rustic style throughout, including exposed brick walls and Thai artwork on the walls, with a small pavement seating area at the front.

Contemporary Thai street food is the focus of the Farang menu, made with a combination of seasonal British ingredients and ones imported from Thailand. Small plate delicacies include crispy tempura chicken with fiery scotch bonnet and fish sauce glaze, with larger plates of braised beef cheeks with mustard greens and pickled ginger.

Exotic cocktails at Farang in Highbury are made with exotic additions such as house lemon grass tea brew and dehydrated raspberry dust, while the wine list includes carefully selected vintages from Thailand.

A Thai Thai restaurant in London with a cosy feel, Farang is just a 10-minute walk from Arsenal Tube Station.

Farangs is lovely every time. The food is always wonderful. Service always start that good at the beginning but it is often hard to pay your bill towards the end.

It was a great Thai experience as every time I visit this restaurant. Lovely service, a fantastic manager and great staff. The dishes are all exceptionally good and certainly the best Thai I had in London so far. They change menus quite often and I have never been disappointed.
Cocktails are also fantastic, both, with and worhout alcol

Delicious! Great as always. Service good. Food amazing. We always go for the Tasting Option. My favourite is the prawns in betel leaves. Also love the gai prik.

We have decided to try this place due to nice reviews and some alternative to our beloved Som Saa. Unfortunately, the food was quite mediocre. The only dishes I liked were papaya salad and pork belly salad. We also had smoked aubergine and roti which were so so. The biggest disappointment was large plates. We had gaeng gatti, which had no flavor and gaeng hang lae, simply large bowl of plain ribs. Also drinks menu was poor.

Warm welcome, looked after well, some of the starters were a bit disappointing eg noodles with crab had no crab in it and one or two others were on the bland side. This was more than made up for by the mains, which delivered very well on flavour and authenticity. We had the tasting menu which I would recommend. Portions are on the large side.

Best London restaurant experience I’ve had. My new number 1.
Only criticism would be slightly slow service but they were very good and appreciate it was a busy Saturday night.

Favourite dish was the beef green curry large plate, meat was very succulent and spice was just right. Must admit spice level in some dishes was higher than to our taste, and a few other couples sitting around us who were clearly suffering - would be good if menu indicated this a bit better. Also whether a dish is hot or cold - we expected an aubergine dish to be hot but it was cold and to use therefore less pleasant. It does say that dishes come as they’re ready but we were a bit disappointed that our three small plates, one large plate and two sides all basically came at once as then it felt like we needed to rush things just to make space on the table. A bit of a disappointing experience. Would recommend, but with these few small warnings.
