Specialising in seasonal seafood, Falmouth Bay Seafood Café is a restaurant set within the Grade II-listed Castle Villa. Enjoying views out onto Truro River, the restaurant also showcases a curated wine list and serves non-fish & vegetarian options.

Start with a pre-dinner cocktail such as the ‘Shugborough Shake’ comprising fresh raspberries, strawberry liqueur, vodka, elderflower & fresh lemon, then indulge in a hearty meal of fresh seafood. Favourites on the Falmouth Bay menu include Cornish crab in a velvety sauce, finished with herb crumbs & parmesan, classic bouillabaisse with shellfish & local white fish, served with parmesan cheese, rouille & croutons, and surf & turf consisting of a prime cut medallion of Cornish fillet steak, king prawn & lobster tail, dripping in a garlic butter sauce, served with salad & chips.

To finish, indulge in a decadent dessert, like slow-roasted figs in honey, topped with Greek yoghurt & pistachios. With white-washed walls, clean, minimalist design & large windows letting the sun stream in, Falmouth Bay restaurant is a sophisticated, nautical-themed space.

I am sorry but we had a very poor meal and slow service. It was not a good experience at all.

The food was extremely good and the service was welcoming and friendly. The only draw back was that was the live music was so loud it was difficult to hold a conversation....which was the whole reason we had gone out for a meal. Live music would be fine if it could be not so dominant. Otherwise everything was perfect.

It is our another visit in this restaurant and I'm please to say season or off season they keep high food quality standards and it is always pleasant experience to dine there. Nothing is to much trouble and what the most important with all this quality you can still feel very friendly , welcoming and you can goofy around . Summing up you have best restaurant food quality experience and you still feel relaxed like you have dinner in old friend's house.

Great place to celebrate my daughters 21st - there were 7 of us & it was a nice change to have a round table so we could all chat together - food was fantastic - good portions and piping hot - only grumble would be that it was very very slow service - not sure if our order got lost - but we were waiting nearly an hour for starters & then another 45 mins after that for mains - meant we drank rather a lot - but we had a great evening nonetheless

Friendly welcome for us and our dog! Love to see an open kitchen. I'm guessing that the lady who served us was the owner and she was really lovely and gave treats and a bowl of water to our dog and more treats!! A pretty restaurant which had a nice atmosphere to it. The food was amazing and well presented. They had a nice garden outside and could imagine it to be very nice on a summers evening. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I have no idea of the food quality (see below) but I hear it is, maybe, the third best fish restaurant in Truro.

The overall feel of the cafe is very good, think it is a tasteful conversion from an old regency house. Welcoming bar and over view of the kitchen as you arrive. Dined on linguine and sea bass both very good. Down side, it was a little noisy and tables to close together.

Lovely light restaurant which is beautifully decorated - cool and stylish.

The food was amazing with the fish and seafood incredibly fresh and tastefully sauced. Particular mention for the excellent house wine and service.

It would have been impossible to fault this bijou restaurant with it's "super-loos".

Thanks for a lovely, special birthday lunch.
