It was overall a poor dining experience. We were confused with another bookers and straight away blamed for being late- we weren't. Then service was very slow and despite of many staff, we felt ignored most of the time. The food was jut about ok too because it felt that it was sitting in the fridge for a while before we arrived. The bread was dry and the spreads were cracked on a side from sitting too long.

This booking was for brunch, and the service was not great - dishes were forgotten, someone asked for a piece of toast that took 20 minutes, we had to ask for water several times until we finally got it. I went to Ethos before for dinner, when the restaurant operates as a self service restaurant. The food is great, the location very convenient, but the brunch experience was disappointing- would not repeat it.

I have take an afternoon tea with my daughter. We was a little desapointing for the sandwitches as we would have prefer traditionals tastes (here it was beetroot, chickpea and cumin then avocado). For a girl of 13 years old, it was difficult to eat. We would have prefer sandwitches with eggs, concomber, jam, etc.
But the cake was really greats ! Chocolate caramel tart to fall, good scones, chocolate peanut butter truffle, etc...

The decor of the restaurant, with its trees, was very beautiful.
The location, next to Oxford Street, is great !!

Great if you are looking for a different afternoon tea experience which feels modern and is vegetarian and/or vegan and/or gluten free. I really liked the sandwiches, much better than the ordinary sandwiches (one filled with a beetroot mousse, one with avocado, one with hummus and horseradish). The cakes were very nice too. However, I wasn't keen on the scones at all. They were clearly homemade (bonus), but I like the traditional ones. These were too doughy and yeasty in taste for me, and I really didn't like the cashew butter that came with it. I asked for clotted cream, but they didn't have any. So they brought salted butter instead. The jam was delicious though! For me, this is the reason why I won't return as the scones with clotted cream are the reason I do afternoon tea in the first place. We didn't order a vegan afternoon tea, just a regular one, so I thought it strange to not have clotted cream available. The price is very fair, though for what you get (£20).
A nice touch was the mulled wine they gave us, which was really, really good and nicely presented. Good tea and coffee selection, but stear clear of their bullet proof coffee. They have their own version which is watery and oily and not at all creamy as it should be.
Service was slow and disorganised, but they were friendly (at least they tried...). Interior design is great.

Lovely service on the day and the food was lovely. The atmosphere was great too with great decor. I would say that the portion sizes of the afternoon tea was quite small in comparison to other places I have been but I think the quality of food was excellent.

The seating area was spacious and welcoming. Well lit. The service was extremely friendly and passionate about the menu options. At a very busy time of day we didn't feel rushed at all. A delightful restaurant, highly recommended and will definitely revisit on next trips to London.
