With an eclectic array of African and Afro-Caribbean cuisine, Embe Restaurant in Peterborough uses many of its home grown ingredients from its secluded beer garden. With a cosy bar serving an accomplished wine list and locally sourced real ale, the vibrant Embe Restaurant also hosts live music evenings.

Paying homage to African and Afro-Caribbean specialities, the creative Embe menu features inspired dishes such as sizzling sirloin steak, marinated in piri piri sauce, served with a medley of vegetables and creamy sweet potato mash, or pan fried fillet of tilapia with fresh okra and spinach, topped with a smooth peanut butter sauce.

Embe Restaurant boasts fresh herbs and vegetables which are proudly used in the Embe kitchen. The elegant surroundings inside Embe feature a cosy bar where exotic cocktails are freshly prepared and live bands and acoustic artists perform on the weekends.

Eating around 6pm ensured we had a relaxed and unrushed meal. As usual the staff were first class and very attentive. Only my wife drew the short straw on quality of food but if you order mutton you have to expect it my be a little tough. The chef is first rate and understands what he is doing in the kitchen, a plesent change from the norm.
