Took my mother in law for afternoon tea. Absolutely superb! Sandwiches, scones with jam & thick double cream. A fabulous selection of small cakes. Cup of tea of your choice, with quite a few to choose from! I however only drink coffe, again lovely. I would certainly recommend their afternoon tea. Especially as a present, something special, or just if you like going out for afternoon tea. As something extra special, we had a glass of bubbly to with it!

Afternoon tea at Ellenborough Park is a really enjoyable experience, you get amazing surroundings with an open fire and 11ft Christmas tree this time of year. The food is excellent, I always love the freshly baked scones. 5/5 in every way

Lovely setting and food, it has become a victim of its own success as they had to turn people away.

Our 3rd visit and it is maintaining its very high standard. Beautiful building, very comfortable .
Staff friendly and attentive but not obtrusive. Not a huge menu but well constructed and most people would find something they liked.
Food very well cooked and beautifully presented , Michelin star standard.
Fixed price menu which is good value given the quality of the food and the location.

Great food, shame about very poor service throughout. Also should not seat screaming children in the middle of the restaurant, does not make for luxury ambience.

Food lovely, service great until the end! I asked to take my leftover cakes home in a box which i had done lots of times before, the cakes came back in a bit of tin foil and as the chap put them down, he dropped them!! The cakes were then all damaged, i was very upset and when asked for a box again i was met with a very unpleasant response, "well what do you want me to do about it" This isn't what i expect from a 5* Hotel! I finally got a small plastic box which was perfect so why couldn't i have that in the first place? I felt very let down as i quite often go for afternoon tea and its my favourite place in Gloucestershire to go! Hopefully this was a one off!!

Fantastic restaurant. The food was all great quality and service was polite, helpful and quick but not overbearing.
