Experience a colourful taste of Ecuador and Latin America at El Inca Plebeyo on Essex Road, with a vibrant selection of dishes served in a bustling, rustic setting of exposed brick walls and a quirky collection of knick knacks throughout.

The El Inca Plebeyo menu specialises in traditional and modern Ecuadorian cuisine, with colourful dishes made to be shared. Zesty ceviches are made with sea bass, lime juice and rocoto chilli, while ripe plantains with homemade cheese are perfect finger food for the table. Succulent slow-cooked stews are a popular choice, while celebrated chef's specialities include the Ecuadorian slow-roasted pork.

Save room for dessert at El Inca Plebeyo in Islington, as rich chocolate fondant is served with chilli candies, while the bar serves up a concise international wine list, as well as artisan spirits from Ecuador.

A warm, inviting Ecuadorian restaurant in London, El Inca Plebeyo also serves kids' menus, and sits just a minute's walk from Essex Road Rail Station.

El inca plebeyo was a whole new concept for us. In Belgium we don't have restaurant of Ecuador where u can eat a ceviche like that. It was cozy, small, great cocktails, friendly service and the food was made with love.

I came to El Inca Plebeyo on the hunt for ceviche. We ordered Ceviche Clasico and Hot Prawn Ceviche and they did not disappoint, both dishes were flavourful and fresh with the quinoa in the prawns adding some lovely texture. The staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, helpful and friendly providing an excellent service throughout our visit.
I would highly recommend this place for it's vibe, the cosiness and the personality that it's staff provide with their fantastic service. We for sure will be going back again to try their Tiraditos!

This restaurant was amazing - first time I've had Ecuadorian food and it was simply stunning. My friend had the Hornado (slowed cooked pork) which I tried and was amazing and I opted for the Encocado de pescado (fish soup) which I couldn't fault and would probably have again when I go back. We shared sea bass ceviche to start with which I wished I had a whole bowl of and went for a lovely Argentinian white wine which went great with our dishes. The chef and owner, Jorge, was a fantastic host and took the time to speak with us and explain the food options and even gave us some Ecuadorian brandy to taste as we left. Couldn't fault this restaurant.

Carefully-crafted delicious food and a very friendly service. The ceviches are heavenly, especially with plantain chips! Thank you.
