Went to Ego for a meal. The inside and outside of the restaurant was gorgeous but the food was soooooooo bland!!! It had no taste whatsoever!! For [$] ([$] for just 4 bottles of beer almost!) I would never go again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!

Visited Ego for a birthday celebration after visiting previously with my partner. The restaurant is popular with locals and fairly busy and vibrant. Service was very good although not perfect, one young waiter leaning across my friend instead of moving around behind him to serve meals. The food was of an adequate standard although some of our dishes were overcooked and/or a little on the small side for the price. For example, the spinach on my pork fillet was limp and sloppy as if it had been boiled for about an hour - not really the standard expected. I would not recommend to others as I believe the standard has declined since my previous visits. Hopefully this review might get them to 'pull their socks up'!

Really good meal but we weren't happy with the original table that we were given as i was facing a wall and very close to the parties on either side. Even though it was a busy Friday night, a different table was found for us very quickly.

We were sat next the music speakers which were a bit loud so we asked to be moved and the staff were very understanding and put us on another table.
