In the heart of bustling Knightsbridge, The Egerton House Hotel offers elegant boutique dining. With crisp table linen, crystal and candles, The Egerton House maintains a classic simplicity, serving fine afternoon tea in an historic venue.

Traditional afternoon tea at Egerton House Hotel offers a selection of mouth-watering sandwiches, freshly baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and indulgent cakes. Try the homemade chocolate and orange brownie, toffee caramel cupcake and spiced pumpkin and plum tart.

Add extra indulgence with the champagne afternoon tea and for the kids, a Teddy Bear's Picnic afternoon tea adds a playful twist to the tradition, with miniature treats accompanied by a delicious hot chocolate drink.

The discreet Egerton House is known for its classic signature martinis alongside a range of gins, whiskies and specially selected spirits from all over the world. The Egerton House Hotel is a 7-minute walk from Knightsbridge and South Kensington Tube Stations.

Welcoming, warm, attentive and friendly staff, one of the best teams I have come across. Quality of the vegan afternoon tea, superb. Thorougly enjoyable afternoon.

During our recent visit to London, our family had afternoon tea here. Three of us are vegan and one is not, and we were drawn here after reading a review of the vegan afternoon tea offered. The drawing room in which the tea is served is absolutely gorgeous! The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. My adult son had the traditional afternoon tea and worked his way through each tier of the tea service, relishing every bit. My 9 year old daughter was with us and the experience was wonderful for her. Finally, my husband and I loved everything about our vegan tea. The tea itself was wonderful and the food was outstanding! We were a little full before we could finish, but they graciously packed up the wonderful desserts we hadn't gotten to and we were able to feast that night. All in all, it was a wonderful experience and one we would happily repeat the next time we are in London.

Lovely, cosy English setting away from the maddening crowds of Knightsbridge. We came for afternoon tea as I read on a review by Huffington post how good it was. Apart from the scones and sandwiches, the cakes were awful. Commercial pastry cases that were just decorated, cream in every cake. My daughters vegan sandwiches were stale and cakes were not great either. If you want to come here for afternoon tea, just get the scones and tea. The rest is a waste of money.

The Welcome entry was very nice and the food was delicious as well as the tea recommendation.
The background music could have been more appropriate.
At the beginning the Service was very attentive, but then it faded.
It is also very disturbing when other guests keep using their cell phone all the time.

We had vegan high tea and it was absolutely exquisite! Thank you so much for having vegan options that are outstanding and bountiful. My mother, a diabetic, did wish that you have more sandwiches instead of the sweets available, but I thought everything was perfect as is. I really am going to make visiting the Egerton House Hotel for high tea every time I visit London. Our server was very kind, and gracious and we appreciate him taking the special care for distinguishing what was vegan and what was not. He took great photos of our experience there too I loved that there was another table who had high tea with their puppy present. How fun!

Excellent Vegan afternoon tea but was a shame that the service that we received was very slow, and when we needed to order more tea or scones, or even ask for a plate because there was one missing on the table, there was often no member of staff who we could ask.

Myself and my mother had a very lovely afternoon tea at the Egerton Hotel. The service was attentive and personal, and the food was delicious, particularly the scones.
I was however a little disappointed that even though I mentioned in the booking that it was my mother's birthday that they didn't do anything to make her feel special, even though at another table someone else was celebrating a birthday and they were given a birthday cake and sang to.
