Pleasant, obliging staff. Closed windows for me as it was chilly and raining. Didn't rush us into ordering, but were attentive when required. Food was delicious, more than ample quantities with loads of roast beef and turkey. Couldn't fit in a pudding, as lunch defeated us, but had tea and coffee afterwards.

Went here for evening meal and drinks with friends for my birthday, everyone enjoyed they’re meal and service was great.
Stayed for drinks after in the bar area which was very relaxed and chilled. Nice to have a conversation and not have to shout over music, great value for money, great evening.

,By far the best dining experience and best bar in St.Helens. Booked table for my sons 16th birthday. Customer care was AMAZING staff and management going above and beyond the call of duty to give us all an amazing and memorable experience. The menu and quality of the food was exceptional, and having managed a cafe bar for many years it takes a lot for me to compliment any business at all let alone as much as I am for the Eccleston arms. The customer service here is FAULTLESS on every visit at any time of day and on every occasion (I have also visited around Christmas time, as well as other times during the year).I do not know how the management manage to keep the standards so consistently high but am very happy that they do.

Very Comfortable modern seating outdoors, staff smiling and helpful. Lunch was chicken pie with well cooked chicken pieces and identifiable leek and mushrooms in a tasty sauce, covered by a paper thin pastry - delicious real food. Chunky chips and mixed veg. We had creamy cheesecakes and a sundae for dessert. This was two courses for £10 - excellent value. Despite being on a main road the patio was walled and no traffic noise.
