From a charming Georgian townhouse in Marylebone, Durrant’s Grill Room at Durrant’s Hotel, London, serves classic British food in similarly traditional surroundings. The quintessential London hotel sees European cuisine meeting timeless favourites, with fine vintage wines partnering hearty game, fish and beef dishes on the Durrant’s menu.
A variety of starters offer seared mackerel and olive tapenade on crispy crostini, and grilled tiger prawns with citrus fruit. Mains see juicy fillet steak and roast grouse joined by wild mushroom risotto and Scottish cod with pancetta.
Dimpled leather banquettes and crisp white tablecloths accentuate the elegance of Durrant’s wood-panelled dining room. Linger for exquisite continental desserts including warm crepes with orange and Grand Marnier and lemon pannacotta.
A real coal-burning fire warms the hotel’s cosy George Bar in winter, with the homely Spy Room a great spot for a light lunch. Durrant’s Grill Room restaurant in London is a 10-minute walk from London Marylebone Train Station.

Disappointing. Luke warm watered down mushroom soup. A singularly untasty Shepherds Pie in an empty restaurant on a Saturday night. Served our purposes as we were looking for a quiet restaurant but it was a poor dining experience. Pity as it is a great setting and location.

Attractive Retro decor with very attentive staff. Pleasing a la carte menu with a different Carvery choice daily. Ambiance blighted by being all but empty during the Lunch period. Possibly due to the day and Season.Probably better for Evening dining.
