In the main hotel is The Calverley Grill restaurant which was awarded an AA Rosette in early 2018. The art-deco style restaurant offers a menu of classic British food with a contemporary twist - emphasis is placed on providing diners with seasonally-inspired cuisine using quality, local ingredients. The Calverley Grill is available to book for evening meals or Sunday lunch only.

Relax in plush seating whilst admiring the views of the grounds and tasting the wonderful selection of sandwiches, delicacies and a variety of teas on offer - all served with polished silverware and fine china. The Drawing Room and Library is available for bookings between 2:00pm and 18:00pm.

The Claret Jug Clubhouse overlooks the Oulton Hall golf course and offers a more informal, relaxed dining environment for guests. A new menu has just been launched that includes delicious, good quality burgers and grills. The Claret Jug can be booked for breakfast, lunch or evening meals.

Booked a table at the Claret Jug. However, Oulton Hall had not switched off online booking for this restaurant. We turned up and it was closed. Oulton Hall were very good at fitting us into the Calverley Grill and our meals were lovely. So from a disaster to an excellent evening.

Was a bit of a mix up at first in that the confirmation email said we were to be seated in The Claret Jug. Clare Jug was not correct place and nobody seemed to know where we should be. we went to main reception and explained so they booked us a table in the restaurant. there was a bar option with a different menu but that was not explained well. The ambiance in restaurant was very good and the staff very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent though menu limited at this time (understandably). Service got a little bit behind as the restaurant filled up. Had to remind staff that we had ordered some more drinks and we gave up asking for receipt. Just went to pay desk. Despite some of the setbacks it was still a very enjoyable dining experience.

Afternoon tea only available to residents. Thankfully I checked beforehand and didn't turn up! Booking link should not have been available.

Awful - we got there and the restaurant was closed and we had a reservation. We got put in the cocktail bar “which has the same menu as the Claret Jug” but the only thing on the menu was soup and a toastie. We got ready to go out as a family and it was a complete waste of time and we ended up getting a takeaway.

Very slap dash for a four star establishment. COVID procedures not in place, had to ask for our table to be cleaned, not in a hurry to return any time soon.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea in delightful surroundings. Although it was not quite as good as last year, considering the covid constraints it was as good as one could hope for.

Lovely surrounding and food however for the price I would have expected the staff to be more attentive

The overall experience was exceptionally poor. I booked The Claret Jug via the website only to find it closed for the duration of my visit. The breakfasts in the main restaurant are of poor quality. Buffet food, not kept warm and served up on cold plates. The food in the restaurant and champagne bar is really good but let down by the service. The restaurant service is shocking. Slow, disorganised and without structure re who is covering which tables. The staff in The Champagne Bar are very good at what they do.
